Fearless [DVD]

Fearless is one of the best martial arts films I've seen and one of my favourite films of all time. The story is good, strong and well acted. Emotion scenes that will make a good impact and shows what martial arts is about. Very well done fight scenes, though sometimes a bit over the top. Beautiful scenery and nice, fitting music to the story. Film at times feels a little rushed but the ending is satisfying and emotional to this pretty good and very watchable film.

Received it quick, excellent movie and quality! With all 3 versions which include the Theatrical, Unrated and the directors cut version which is around 40 mins extended! definately would rate this Bluray 10/10 for quality and sound and also in English lang and chinese:)

I quite enjoyed this film in the cinema and on the initial DVD release. Some of the wirework was occasionally over-the-top, but there is enough well-performed and choreographed action to negate it, and it is nice to see Jet Li working with various traditional Chinese weapons. The film however did seem a little hollow in getting it's message across, and Jet Li has said in interview that he took the story of real-life martial arts master Huo Yuanjia, to convey his philosophy on martial arts, or wushu. These problems are addressed in the extended Director's Cut on the blu-ray, giving the film much-needed emotional depth, and even a little extra action! The quality of the picture and sound is also excellent on the blu-ray version. Not a great deal in the way of extras, but definitely worth purchasing for the Director's Cut. The only downside for me is the lack of historical accuracy in the story of Huo Yuanjia, a character referred to in films such as "Fist of Fury", "Fist of Legend" and "Legend of a Fighter", but whose real-life story deserves a proper biopic, as in the book "Fearless: The Story of Chin Woo Kung Fu".

It was a good movie and had some great fight sequences bit not one of his best though.

This DVD is a very edited version - with no bonus or extras of deleted scenes etc. Not what was expected
