The green and ecologically appropriate lighter for the shop or the kitchen!
I am not a welder, but I am a chef and these flint strikers (lighters in layman's language) work just as well as the butane torch that you are probably using now and they work without using semi-toxic gases. They provide extra flints as well, so they will last for quite a long time before you will ever need to procure additional flints. It is more like a sparkler rather than a torch. It is old school, but it still works just as well as it did in chemistry class.... way back when!

Just ok
Used the striker today to light a blow torch and it worked great. The next day it didn’t work as well, then on the third day it didn’t want to work at all. Dissatisfied

Seems ok
Love the fact that they send you a bunch of accessories to go with it and multiple heads. I used it to light my propane torch and worked well. What I can see is, after using the striker a few times to test and what not, the flint wears pretty quickly, so not sure how long each head will last. But for the price, can't complain. I would recommend if you are a casual user like me. If you are planning on using it extensively, everyday, etc., maybe look at other options.
