Antique Brass 32MM Small Shouldered Cup Hooks For Hanging Coffee Mugs, 20PACK

Not only did only 20 pcs show up this morning, rather than the 40 pcs listed (for which shortfall Amazon kindly reimbursed me), but two have just sheared off in use, leaving the screw elements embedded irrevocably in the wood.I bought these for use as cup hooks on the underside of a brand new decorative shelf. I measured out the placements for perfect symmetry and adequate spacing, and I prepared pilot holes before screwing the hooks into place.Still two of the hooks failed, which suggests a manufacturing defect and means that these hooks are not fit for purpose.As a consequence, the shelf itself is now damaged and what ought to have been a super-simple project is ruined--and I'm absolutely furious.

These are good little hooks but so small it's not easy to pick them up and even harder trying to get purchase to get them into wood. Not sure what to do with them and took an age to arrive.
