Good, but too pricey.
Very, very expensive for the millilitres of ink in the cartridge. Canon should be ashamed of charging such high prices for this cartridge. If your kids schoolwork require them to print out loads of work and worksheets this will cost you a small fortune. If the cartridge is expensive to manufacture, they could include more ink, not require us to buy multiple cartridges with tiny capacities. They have us over a barrel, unless you use high quality non Canon branded cartridges. Some cartridges with cheap ink can clog up the printer, with colours that aren't as good.Performance wise, the Canon cartridge is faultless with archival properties that protect from UV fading. These are not claims made by non Canon cartridges.

Good but expensive
Canon ink cartridges produce good quality images. But they are very expensive and the quantity of ink supplied in a cartridge is miserable. They are therfore not good value. If I was starting again I would not start with Canon. I only did so because the ink was highly regarded as a way of creating images but they are not good value for money

Originals are best for accuracy in photographs!
After using generic ink cartridges we went back to using Canon originals for our Canon Pixma MP980 multifunction printer. The turning point was that my girlfriend started a photography degree and a requirement of this was to calibrate the colours on the monitor and printer. It was not until we embarked on this process that we became aware of the wide variations in colour rendering (including black) that are possible. The only way to achieve accuracy and consistency for the purposes of the photography course have been to use these original Canon cartridges.I have to say, that apart from this colour issue, we used good quality generic cartridges until recently without difficulty, and it may well be if your use is less critical than a photography course demands then they will continue to suffice. Until my girlfriend finishes her course it looks like we'll have to dig deeper into our pockets and use originals which have all been delivered swiftly via Amazon.

Pay up and, smile.
Ink carts have always been a semi rip off. Costs are high pro rata.I have tried cheaper makers, but, the printer does not deliver quality prints.I have a Canon printer and I have to use their products, and pay up for the privilege.Am I smiling or simply showing my teeth?

Printing ink
Cannon is the best printing ink for my printer as the colour is not as good with the cheaper ones. Good quality and colour. But... very expensive!

It's a Canon printer ink cartridge
I've now reviewed the cyan and yellow ink cartridges today. I feel the same about yellow as I do the other colours - it's a Canon cartridge that works in a Canon printer. I think Canon are greedy in charging so much for a very small vial of ink

The genuine article. Accept no substitute.
Having had bad experiences with "compatible" inks, I vowed to buy only genuine original cartridges for my Canon Pixma MP560 when I bought it a few years ago. I always buy this product, and I have never had any problem with clogging, banding, splotching, or anything - the prints always come out crystal clear whether I'm doing a quick draft on cheap A4, or a high quality print onto inkjet photographic paper. It's a shame they don't last a bit longer, but maybe I should try printing a bit less...

It's ink, it's Canon, it works
How to review an ink cartridge.... well it's small, it's functional, and it does exactly what it says on the box. One thing I will say is that there is not a lot of packaging, and most of it can indeed be recycled, so all in all good for the environment. My reccomendation is this - buy this if your printer tells you you are out of ink...... but do wait for it to BE out of ink and not LOW on ink, which is vastly different, trust me....!!And I bought the real version not the refurbished one!
