Excellent clipper, makes short easy work to man's ape gnarly toenails.

Cuts through thick nails like a hot knife through butter. The ergonomics are MUCH better than the TRIM toenail trimmer I have been using for years. These have wider opening jaws, are much sharper, and don't have a handle that will pivot unexpectedly. I've only used these once, but I am happy so far. I did apply a liberal amount of light machine/firearms oil to the pivot joint, and worked it for several minutes until it loosened up and moved freely before I actually used it. I am a retired dentist. I would say the quality is similar to Pakistani stainless hinged instruments. Not terrible, but certainly not in the class with German stainless hinged instruments. But for this price, well worth the investment.

These are excellent clippers. Grip is very secure, so you can place the blades accurately. The orientation of the blades means your hands are well out of the way, so you have a clear view, and you're not fighting your other toes to access a nail. (If you're buying these or other clippers, it's a good idea to buy a magnifier lamp so you can really see what you're doing.)
