Great replacement for EXPENSIVE regular incandescent bulbs
I have a vey old floor lamp with a 3 way switch and mogul base. It's been very expensive buying incandescent 3 way mogul bulbs, that never last more than a month. I was hoping these would fit my lamp and they do.With the incandescent bulbss, I was only able to find Philips bulbs, they were about 30.00 for 6, and these would blow out rather quickly. I normally keep on the lowest setting, and that would burn out after about a week, which also left the middle setting unable to light, meaning I had to use the bulb on the highest setting which made it too bright for my living room. But then, after about a month or so, the bulb would completely blow, meaning I was having to change bulbs about every 2 months.I took a chance on these, hoping I would not have an issue with fitting in the lamp socket, but they fit just fine. When I put the first bulb in, I tested all three settings and they lit perfectly. I shut the lamp off at bedtime, and when I turned the lamp on the next morning, the lights flickered vigorously on the lowest and medium settings, the high setting was OK, but too bright. I turned the switch on and off several times, and finally, the bulb worked correctly on all settings. I don't know if it was something with the bulb or with my lamp. The lamp is probably over 75 years old.The light output on the lowest setting is perfect for my normal living room lighting. I don't like it too bright in my apartment.I do see some flickering when I first turn the lamp on - rapid flickering, like looking through shutter glasses. I normally don't perceive flickering, but if I turn my eyes a certain way quickly, I will see some flickering and then it dies down. Thanks to doing some research on these bulbs, I've read comments where people notice a slightly pink hue. Honestly, I didn't notice this, UNTIL I read about it. Now it's very noticeable for me, but I am trying to ignore it.I don't know how long these will last, but I am hoping they will last a long time. At least a lot longer than the incandescent bulbs. I skipped over the longevity rating because I won't know how long they last until it dies.

The base is too fat
I had hoped to replace the three-way Mogul based torch lamp I've had for years. These appear to be bright enough and give you the three-way option, but the bass was too wide at the bottom to allow me to screw the bulb into the bowl.

This bulb may not fit under your shade/globe.
These bulbs make great light. The only downside is that the size and shape of the bulb does not allow for use of the original globe. When I first screwed the bulb in, it did not light. The globe was not allowing the bulb to reach the contacts in the bottom of the socket. Remove the globe, works perfectly. My solution was to simply flip the globe over and set it on top of the bulb with the wide side down. Actually, it looks better that way, in my opinion. If not for that issue, I would give 5 stars.

Light works great, neck too thick to fit in lamp
Light seems good- three way works well. No flicker that I could tell. The problem was once the lamp’s glass diffuser was put in place, the bulb did not fit into the socket as thick neck of the bulb got stuck on the glass diffuser. See picture. It was about a turn and a half away from fitting. Unfortunately had to return so someone else can enjoy!

May not fit.
I've been looking for this bulb for years, and when I saw this one I jumped. This was for an old floor lamp (some would call it antique) using a mogul base 100/200/300 incandescent light bulb. The problem is that it needs to fit. I expected it would be too tall, but the threaded base was too short. Unless I take the glass diffuser off the lamp the bulb doesn't screw in far enough to engage the power contacts. Without the glass diffuser, the lampshade has nothing to rest on. I was concerned that it wouldn't work with the three-way socket, but it has no problem and the light was bright and as expected at each setting. It would be nice if the seller provided detailed measurements for this item.

These are mogul bases, not E26
Had to return them as the socket bus was a mogul size, not E25/E26 standard. If you need a three way mogul bulb maybe this is for you?
