Fantastic set with bonuses
This unit should come with a warning but it is not alone and not having one. Many air protection products failed to provide adequate warnings about hearing loss. This is a shame because it is your ‘hearing’. It doesn’t grow back, it doesn’t get better, it does not heal, and so it is absolutely critical to protect it. Please learn about hearing and loud noises. These things claim to have a noise reduction level of 24 dB. I got to say that I have used hundreds of ear protection set ups with no exaggeration and at the very least these live up to those claims. At least for me these are as quiet as my old school 3Ms, which I have always maintained that many of the newer products do not compete with. I’m always a little bit suspicious of non-branded ear protection but these things work better than many of my expensive earmuffsIn the end it is going to be on the individual to protect their own hearing. In addition there are other factors involved with the measurements like the shape of your head, the clamping force, your ears, the seal that you’re able to develop with the head your mouth saying how you’re here and I protection work to interfere with that seal. But my experience seems to match the laboratory conditions and these things are quiet. They also come with memory foam earplugs, the good kind. Although there is no reference to them in the instructions.I believe these would be adequate alone on an outdoor range but in an indoor range where the sound gets reflected an amplified, it is my belief that one should always double up with ear protection, which is to say use both earplugs and an ear muff type unit.So that calls it for the basics. But these come with so much more. They actually have electronic noise protection and their dual stereo microphones which allow you to amplify the low level noise in your environment so you can hear range commands and you can hear what’s going on about you, but when somebody fires a shot or there’s an exceedingly loud noise the electronic circuitry blocks that noise. This is excellent so you can hear your instructor and as a teacher of gun safety I really appreciate this feature. In addition because it is stereo you actually get an idea of the direction that the sound is coming from as well. Many of the early amplified ear protection only had a mono microphone and so you could hear your sound but you didn’t get any sense of direction with them. Now the final cherry on top of these is that they have Bluetooth which means they can connect to your phone and then you can play music or listen to something on your phone, or even take calls, while you train with your ear protection on. How does the Bluetooth work? It works pretty well. The connection is at least as good as my Peltor Bluetooth and the sound is louder so I can actually hear it. The newest belters don’t amplify loud enough for me to hear what’s going on with earplugs in. The older 3M‘s used to work better. It seems like these were designed along the specs of the older ear protection which were actually better. These are foldable so they can be more compact and easily fit into your bag. They’re relatively comfortable as the headband is padded and the earpieces on the cup cushions are just average. They are not going to be comfortable for a very long time and the clamping force is strong, which is important to get a good seal around your ears but also it’s not going to be comfortable. That’s a trade-off you have to make. These come with a permanently built-in lithium ion battery and an external micro USB port for charging. I wish it was USB-C but I guess you can’t have everything. All in all these earmuffs hit it out of the park. They also come like I said with bonus ear plugs and it charging cable in addition and auxiliary cable which allows you to connect via phono plug with the sound source. Finally they include a protective case that fits the earmuffs when they are in their folded compact form. You’re not gonna do better for this price point. These things are great.

Listening to music is a huge plus!
Review: Bluetooth 5.0 Electronic Shooting Ear Protection Earmuffs,Noise Reduction Sound Amplification Hearing Protector for Gun RangeI like electronic noise cancelling headphones. These are one step better. They are Bluetooth compatible so you can connect them to your phone and listen to music while shooting. You can even answer and talk on the phone with these on. The sound is very good and the loud noise (shot) cancelling is responsive without delay. After wearing them for an extended period of time, (six hours) you need a little break from the ear suction cuffs. I would like to see a more comfortable gel ear cuff but these are fully functional. Recommended

Excellent... with some reservations
I have a pair of the very popular commercial ones and I would say these stack up as well if not better.------------------UPDATE:I finally had a chance to try these out in the field (Deer hunting) and there are a few issues I have with them -1. the control knob. It is almost impossible to turn while on my head unless I have no gloves on and my fingers are totally dry. Needs some traction.2. No instructions. Mine came with no instructions, nor can I find any online. I can pair with my phone just fine, but trying to dial up the sensitivity so I could hear approaching deer better was a fail. It probably is done by the knob I can't ever really turn.Other than that, they are I would say as good if not better than my HL's and these add Bluetooth... so I'll be using these extensively while out using the snowblower this winter!

A Wood Workers Dream!
I have a woodworking shop on our mountain farm, and we end up doing a whole lot of chainsawing. With all the work that goes on around here on barns, fencing, and then what we do in the shop, hearing protection is super important! We have never skimped on protection, but can always use more, never seem to be enough around when you need them.I was super excited as soon as these came in to use them, and I was REALLY IMPRESSED. Ambient noise was 0, with most hearing protection you get some ambient, this was zero - I can typically still hear the chainsaw, or table saw as i'm working, but the only indication I got today was that the saw was in my hand and vibrating -It didn't remove all the noise, but it will definatley keep my ears in better shape for the next 20 years.Awesome soundproofing <3 Thank you!
