Difference in the marketing/product description to what is on the box
In the marketing description on this site, it says:When worker ants discover and consume sweet bait, they return to the ant colony and share the bait with the queen, other worker ants, and larvae, thereby attracting more ants to enter the ant trap.On the box it says: This product is specifically formulated to drown ants as they enter through the liquid in the trap.It seems to me (two days after putting two traps in the garden), that these statements are contradictory. Basically, 'drowned ants' cannot by definition, return to the nest!So far, I can categorically say that a number of ants have drowned, but no idea whether any have survived drowning to return bait to the nest. I will update if after another day or so, all ants have disappeared. Some other things to note:The 'directions for use' on the side of the box are laughable (see photo). There is no mention of how much liquid to use in the cups (seems a fairly basic requirement for instructions). I've used half of the liquid so far in the two cups. The cups come in five different colours. I'm not sure what the relevance of having different coloured cups is!? Maybe different types of ants are attracted by different colour plastic ;-)

Not brilliant
Sadly this product didn’t work at all for me. Followed instructions but ants continued to thrive and multiply. Resorted to ant killer spray which worked instantly. A waste of money in my case.

I still have an ant problem!
Bought these as I was under the impression it was the type of poison ants take back to the nest for a swift eradication. Sadly this is not the case.It just drowns them, so only kills the ants that actually venture into the traps and you get a nasty shock when you open them after a few days - a sea of dead bodies!I have changed the fluid regularly and have now used it all up. A week on and I still have an ant problem 😕.I will continue to use the traps, but will now have to buy some proper solution to put in them.
