Fender Groove Tubes GT-ECC83-S Select Tube

I replaced the first, V1, tube in my Marshall 2205 and was immediately amazed at the great new highs, the very-much-increased power, and the beautiful heavy and wide-spectrum tones that came out of the system. I don't know if it sounded this good new. I will have great fun experimenting and making music with this. The overwhelmingly noisy microphonics of the old stock tube are gone, and the amp has a great new lease on life. I love this Tesla-equipment, Carpathian Mountain-built tube. Groove Tubes are awesome, and since the base JJ tube has excellent characteristics, but can need to be selected for best quality, I am happy that Groove Tubes tested the tube before it got to me. I didn't know what I was missing all these years. I'm so happy now!

poorly packaged for shipping. amazed it even fired up. after several hours use, still sounds like junk. Not like the OLD Groove Tubes

It is a relabeled JJ which is good, as I like JJs, but, I could have just bought a JJ and saved ten bucks.

This tube has given my amp the push it needed. I will be putting these in my big rig.

I replaced the 12ax7 on my bugera t5 with this tube and it totally added more tonal clarity to my clean and added beef to the gain... Giant improvement for my amp.....

Put this baby in the Behringer VT-999 Vintage Tube Monster and it becomes just that. High gain distortion when cranked into the clean channel of a tube amp that sounds very much like a cranked Marshall. Add an equalizer in the effects loop and your approaching modern metal tones.

Very powerful tubes! If you will use them in guitar preamp then you got to know that the are not for everyone! Got alot of highs and very loud overall on a distortion can be too crisp! A bit too much for me. I use them in mic preamp. Quality is very good! Still GT are great tubes!

To me, the 12AX7c is not as powerfull as the ECC83s, but loveley-melodic,probably "the golden middle way". Anyway it also depends on the preamp,if u don't like a preamp, a special tube woun't help either!Example ROCKTRON's: Voodu Valve, 90% of the factory-sounds sound like"turn that thing off"---The 12AX7c helps if your preamp needs to slow down, but for example,in my DigiTech 2120 u need the ECC83s, because here the 12AX7c is notpowerfull enough (I guess because of the limiter in the amp) most of thefactory-sounds, you woun't hear at all, except u start tuning the limiter.GROOVE TUBES, I know them for many Years, I didn't knowFENDER bought them, and didn't know there are as many tube-sellerson the market now, but get the GROOVE TUBES-reference book,and see GROOVE TUBES is supreme, FENDER did not ruin the Company, ...Tube philosophy, u can make a science out of it, imagine the possibilities...
