Elle and Hunter manage to find a way to not only solidify their love affair but also sweep away the taboo associated with student/teacher romances. Unfortunately, forces conspire to challenge their tenuous relationship yet again when Elle grows bored with success in her career and also with the stability she finds in Hunter. I've read this book numerous times since its release and while on the surface we find a selfish Elle making decisions solely based on herself instead of a couple, you can also see under the layers of Elle's self-centeredness a very immature and inexperienced Hunter stumbling to find a way to keep Elle close. Many times I was compelled to jump into the pages myself and grab both girls by the lapels and shake furiously at their selfishness and inexperience that kept putting a wedge between them. What WJ2 left me with was an exhausted mess worrying over these two amazing characters, and these two can't seem to just get out of their own way when it comes to their love affair. You can bet I won't quit worrying about them until they're together or it's over, for good.

I’m loving sharing Elle and Hunter’s journey with them. They are evolving beautifully into what I appreciate about relationships … trust, communication, support, and love. I also love their best friends that encouraged Elle to make the leap and try a different career albeit her passion in writing. I’m so looking forward to the third in the Winter Jacket Series. I really, really enjoyed this book! I absolutely couldn't put it down once I started reading it this weekend. The love the relationship between Hunter and Elle and the friendship with Troi is so hilarious. I was sad when the book ended but I am really hoping with the way it ended it will mean there will be a third book. Now that I think about it I think this book is really just the build up for the next book there is just too much going on that was left unfinished like what is exactly going on with the new dean? And now that Elle and Hunter "switched" maybe Elle will let go of some of her restraint that she holds back in the bedroom with Hunter??? There are some pretty steamy scenes in the book but I don't want to spoil anything for the readers. You will not be disappointed with this one ladies

this is the second book of the winter jacket series. it picks up with Hunter and Elle attempting to define their relationship and attraction. throughout this one, they must confront objections and opposition to their relationship from their co-workers, friends and family. Hunter's youth forces her to determine if being with a woman is for her... as for Elle - self-professed serial monogamist who cannot sustain long-term relationships - she must navigate through her feelings of inadequacy and self-sabotage of her romantic relationship. Eliza again captures all of the insecurities with humor and realism. She uses secondary characters like Troi and Nik to explore the emotions that Elle wrestles. this is another great book in the winter jacket series. it is quite passionate again as well

I have heard that sequels are bitter sweet, and hardly ever as good as the first, so I'm very cautious and not looking forward to part II. I'm so happy I didn't skipped this one! I truly think that this story got better with the second installment the characters, especially Elle, devolved so beautifully you cannot help but enjoy the journey! I truly appreciate that the story didn't fall in the typical and predictable path but brilliantly the author manage to develop a great, engaging and even very sexy story without falling on the too fictional situations that usually spoil the realism of the novel. This was such a good continuing of the story that, honestly I am already praying for the next installment, there so much more I would like to know about Elle and Hunter story!

This is a tale of two lovers continuing through their lives and growing closer like we all would love in our own relationships.

More great story about Elle and Hunter and what and where their futures might bring. These characters certainly aren't perfect, and most of the time Hunter, ten years younger, seems more mature than Elle, but they're very relatable characters with all the doubts that come with being human. Eliza is a terrific writer and I eagerly await book 3!

I must say Eliza never disappoints. I stumbled unto this sequel only by chance and was ecstatic to see a continuation of one of my favourite books. The characters which sucked you in completely were here again taking us on a journey of new beginnings. I just love the way Eliza writes, her style will propel you into each and every chapter so much so that you feel each emotion, the pain, the joy and the passion (especially the passion lol) of Hunter and Ellio. Another great book! I have bought all of this author's books and haven't been disappointed yet. If you are looking for a enjoyable, sweet, steamy romance this is the book for you.

Just reading this series second time round and it’s like coming home. So well written, it totally absorbs you and reminds me how lucky I am to have my soulmate too 🥰

A sequel to possibly my favourite book of all time and i was not at all disappointed. Characters are so real and down to earth, they walk, talk and act like human beings. They aren't perfect which is why they are so great. The writing is so good, you can connect and relate to the characters in such a personal way. Full of humour and little inside jokes that run throughout both books, the world and characters Eliza Lentzski has created is positively charming.

I really enjoyed this book, I read it in only a couple of days as I could not put it down. I recommend anything written by this author! The books are really well written and you must be warned that once you start reading you will lose hours of your life as you will not be able to put the book down! I love these characters! Make sure you read Winter Jacket (also excellent) before this book!

I loved Winter Jacket and was thrilled to see a sequel. The character s are wonderful, it feels like you know them personally, and the storyline's have been great. I shall look forward to the sequel to New Beginnings, Please Eliza. Ange.

I loved the first book, though this one seemed to be missing something...there just didn't seem to be anything 'big' happen, no 'middle' of the story. I still enjoyed the book though.
