Q: I have very wide feet. I know the straps around the toes are not adjustable, so I'm wondering if the wide width is a true wide?

I also have wide feet and found these to fit me very well. I loved them so much I went back and bought one in each color!

Q: I wear a 9 1/2 what size should I get since they don’t have half sizes?

I wear a 10 1/2 and got a size 11. Because of the strap, these fit wonderfully. Love, love, love my Skechers!

Q: Would these be wide enough for diabetic feet and thick ankles? Are they wider than the average men's sandal?

not diabetic, but they are a wide width because I have a wide foot. they have Velcro straps across the toes and ankle, so can be easily adjusted possibly. Not sure about the men's sandal, don't have anything to compare the width with. however, I would say maybe they would not be as wide as a mens sandal

Q: Do these fabric uppers clean easily ?

The straps on the shoe are like a slick leather. They can be wiped off pretty easy. However there is a small fabric around the straps that could get dirty and I am not sure how they would clean yet. So far I have not had that problem. I really like these shoes though. Very comfortable.
