This was absolutely worth every penny even if I only end up using it that one time.Holiday weekend and after my last braces adjustment I had a wire just destroying my back inside cheek. Nothing was helping, tried wax, even tried filing it smooth, it didn't help. Jumped on Amazon and ordered these for next day delivery. They arrive and a little bit of maneuvering later I was able to clip the end of my wire.These are heavy duty quality tools, I was impressed by the heft and craftsmanship of them. I don't know if they are similar to what my orthodontist uses, but they are definitely very close.Hope I never have to use them again, but very glad to have them on hand in case I do.

I had been using a small wire cutter from the hardware store to cut the sharp distal ends of my braces wires. They work well but are sometimes awkward to use so I bought these thinking they would work better. The first time I attempted to use them they broke. The metal literally cracked! My braces wires aren't even thick. These should have been able to handle cutting the wires without a problem since they claim to cut hard wires. Would not recommend these at all and I will be returning them for a refund.
