2nd one 'cos the 1st was so good.
Brought one of these last year and so impressed we bought another this year ( see photo) . This one is for kitchen herbs just outside door. I did paint with outdoor furniture paint before using. The original looks like new still.

Superb!
This has been a super addition to my garden - it's perfect for starting veg and other plants, and I've just switched it over to growing herbs now the veg plot is established. The materials are very good and although construction is a bit of a grind (electric screwdriver essential!) the result is a solid, attractive and very usable planter that has a very good soil capacity and options for adding netting, canes or twine for protection or support. It's always commented on by visitors and most people expect it costs a lot more than the 100 quid list price. I'd really recommend painting or staining it before assembly for longer life, but that aside it's absolutely 100% good to go once assembled. As you might be able to tell, I absolutely love this thing and would very gladly have at least one more! There were no missing or damaged parts or fixings, and all the parts are numbered clearly in a way that's not visible after assembly. Very highly recommended for any garden!

Not Perfect But Very Nice
This planter is huge. One of those things in life that actually is bigger in the flesh. It a solid mother of a thing and quite heavy. Gives the impression that it will last. This one has a trellis which was the reason for my wanting it. I can wrap some polythene over the trellis and it becomes an instant greenhouse. Suits me, sir! Assembly wasn't too bad, just slightly time consuming due to the amount of screwing you have to do. It comes already with a light coat of stain but it is recommended to paint it properly before putting it outside. One of two gripes, though. In the pictures you can see that there is a gap between the end panels and the slats of the planter. Also the panel boards have been cut short and leave a bit of a gap, see third photo. I'm a joiner and there is no excuse for the planter to be like this. The wider boards that are for the sides all have a slight warp to them. A slight warp that were you to complain you would be told it's a natural thing that wood does, aye right. Table tops are made of wood and they don't warp. It all boils down to no-one giving a monkey's about quality control. The price you pay for this planter I would expect better. The two triangular end pieces just manage a screw in them. Were the holes a ba' hair higher then they would miss.Do not get me wrong, I'm pointing out things that there are no excuse for. This doesn't affect the use of the planter in any way. I am so looking forward to growing chiis and catnip in mine. That's my starter for ten. I'll need a shed load of plants to fill this up. Might even try some grapes. This takes a lot of soil so be warned. I am over the moon with it.One piece of advice, GLUE EVERYTHING! It makes a big difference. So sayeth the joiner anyway.

Sturdy and effective
Delighted with this raised wooden planter. It's incredibly sturdy and has ample depth for a variety of plants. The support system for climbing plants is a fantastic feature. The drainage system is effective, preventing any waterlogging. The sage grey finish adds a modern touch to my garden, and assembly was straightforward.

Great for smaller gardens or flats with no garden
I recently assembled a large raised wooden veg planter, and it's quickly become the star of my garden. This planter is massive, offering ample space for a variety of vegetables, herbs, and even some flowers. The V-shaped design is a clever touch, allowing me to plant both deep-rooted vegetables like carrots alongside shallower plants like lettuce or herbs up on the raised section. The slatted sides are a big advantage, ensuring good drainage and air circulation for healthy plant growth. It also came with a perforated liner, which helps prevent the soil from becoming waterlogged. This is a feature I really appreciate, especially here in Britain where the weather can be unpredictable. One of the things that surprised me most was the included support system for trailing plants. This was a welcome addition, and it's already come in handy for my climbing tomato plants. The whole thing is finished in a stylish sage grey that looks great in my garden and complements the greenery nicely.Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with this raised wooden veg planter. It's well-made, spacious, and has some great features that make it perfect for any vegetable gardener. While it is on the larger side, so make sure you have the space, the versatility and functionality it offers make it a worthwhile investment. My vegetables are thriving, and it's a joy to tend to them in this beautiful planter.

Cant possibly get better than this!
I am thoroughly impressed with this planter's quality, ease of assembly, wood quality, and functionality. It's one of the best planters I've ever owned. My small courtyard is the perfect size forit, which doesn't take up much space but is still deep enough to accommodate deep-rooted plants like tomatoes. It's a great way to teach my daughter about gardening and the joy of eating a tomato you've grown yourself. The planter seems to be made out of pine, which is one of the softer woods, but the way it's constructed and finished is top-notch and makes it feel really sturdy. I'm confident it will last for many years, especially if you apply outdoor paint once a year.. I can't wait to see what we can grow in it!
