I would like to start off with I am not a strong reader. This is the first book I’ve sat down and read in years! Other than manga. I got into Norse mythology and am studying Paganism so I got this book as a guide and starting point. I wasn’t expecting for it to be such a simple read! I got it yesterday and am already half way through it. Not to mention it includes the actual Prose Edda and the Havamal as downloadable e-books for free! Just ordered the other 3 books to complete the set since I’m flying through it.

It provides a remarkably accessible guide to the vivid myths and legends of the Viking Age. The prose is easy to follow while still capturing the adventure and imagination that makes Norse mythology so alluring. I learned so much, and was thoroughly entertained along the journey.I appreciate that the author included, as a downloadable bonus, an English translation of the original Prose Edda text, which gave me a direct window into this mythical world. This is a thrilling crash course in these timeless Viking legends!

Norse Mythology is some of my favorite mythology. This book is all about the age of the Vikings and focuses on their culture, history, how they lived day to day and of course their Gods and Goddesses. My son especially liked reading about Odin, Thor and Loki. This book is well written and would be enjoyed by anyone who likes Norse mythology.
