Great, fun game, but perhaps a short shelf-life
I first came across this game at a boardgame cafe and I liked the fact that it was fairly easy to learn and also cooperative (to a certain extent). After buying a copy for my family, we spent a couple of fun hours building our cities and everyone seemed to enjoy arguing over where to put their polluting factories and whether a city could be one giant park. Why not five stars? Because I'm not sure about the longevity of the game. Playing with my family - who are all pretty good boardgamers - lead to really close scores and cities that were near perfect and practically identical. We were basically all a bit too good at the game, a bit too quickly. So based on that, I can only give four stars.

Great scaleable game
Fun and relatively quick game. Not too heavy - works for family and/or friends. The best thing is that it works equally for 3 or 7 people - adding no extra time on with the more people you have, as turns are taken simultaneously.

Easy to learn co-operative game suitable for casual gamers
Having started my game collection with Scythe, I decided to opt for another Stonemaier product in Between Two Cities. The game is very easy to pick up, and generally do not last a long duration, so is definitely suited to a more casual session between friends. The primary aim of this game, is to produce two strong cities in collaboration with those sat to your right and left. The strength of the city is determined by its layout, and if laid out in an efficient manner, will score you more points for the end of the game. The winner is not the person with the best city overall, but rather, the person with the best 'second city', by which their score is that for their worst city. This means that you cannot simply abandon one city (and therefore screw over the player you are collaborating with), but rather, must build each city equally. The average duration of a game is approximately 20 minutes, which means it is common to play several games back to back. There is also no particular increase in duration when increasing from 3 to 4 players (or even 3 to 7), which is very useful as the game remains quick. The game consists of building tiles, which are high quality with clear graphics on them. Also contained are city pieces, which represent some of the larger cities in the world (Cairo, Paris, Rome........Essen), these also look greatEssential Info:Player Count - 3-7 (can also play as 1 or 2 with automa)Age Range - Good for children and adultsDuration - 20-40 minutes
