Works fine - peace of mind before filling.
Works fine - peace of mind before filling. Valves do come loose, so make sure you tighten. I have tested 3 circuits so far on copper pipe. Plugged the ends with demountable stop caps and pumped to 1.5 bar and left for a day. Only gripe is that the shrink wrap packaging cannot be removed from the protective rubber surround so it looks a mess - but itβs a tool, not worth returning. Will leave system pressurised as building continues to detect if someone goes through a pipe.

The tool for DIY project
Only used it ones to keep pipes under constant pressure. No problems and you can use your car pump to regulate the pressure. The only downside is it is hard to take it of the pipe after use

Valve is great, terrible packaging ruins that new tool feeling.
Valve itself operates great and is well made, however the plastic shrink wrap packaging bonds itself to the valve head and is impossible to remove. A real shame and if it wasn't a work tool that I need straight away I would return. I can imagine a lot of homeowners who have bought what is meant to be a premium tool will be disappointed especially.

dry test kit.
bought this as i had an intermittent leak on a boiler system I modified. This let me prove to the gas fitter who moved the boiler and tank that the fault was not on the domestic heating side.(In the end found a leak on heat exchanger.)Also perfect for testing new rads etc.

Valve leave and needed fixing
I spent ages looking for a leak in my plumbing only to discover that the valve on the gauge was leaking.PTFE tape on the thread and tightening the chrome valve cap firmly with a socket (careful not to go too tight or you'll strip it) temporarily solved the problem.I will replace the valve core at some point, but not great that I have to fix it to make it usable.
