The Wolf and the Witch: Witch Walker, Book 3

Neri's #1 fan
The way this series has a chokehold on me…✨ slow burn✨ enemies to lovers✨ banter✨ touch her and die✨ morally grey MMCThe Wolf and the Witch novella is Book 3 of the Witch Walker series by Charissa Weaks. While it is on the lengthy side for a novella, it had me so engrossed that I essentially read it in a day.My expectations for this novella were that there would be a slight pause in our regularly scheduled program to focus on a couple of the major secondary characters, Neri and Nephele. While that is true, there were also so many extra twists and turns and revelations that have only helped to enhance the main plot. I have even more questions and theories now, and I’m so incredibly eager to have them answered (I hope) in the next book, Kingdom of the Forgotten, releasing this fall! While not wanting to give away any of the plot, suffice it to say Charissa Weaks has done a phenomenal job creating this entire world in which I am completely invested. The lore and magic system are so interesting, and I not only love the main pairing but so many of the secondary characters as well. I have been Neri’s No. 1 fangirl from the moment he stepped onto the page (back off, he’s MINE!), and I lost it when I found out he and Nephele were getting their own book. The banter. The slowburn. *chef’s kiss*"𝙸 𝚗𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚒𝚜𝚝 𝚊 𝚛𝚘𝚜𝚎. 𝙽𝚘 𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚛𝚗𝚜 𝚒𝚝 𝚋𝚘𝚛𝚎."Nephele is this powerful witch trying to figure out how best to use her powers to assist in preparing for a war that seems to be waiting just on the horizon. And of course, she’s doing this while also trying to make sense of the current state of things, unlocking secrets from the past, and protecting her heart from the annoying new god in her life, Neri.“𝙸 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚏𝚎𝚊𝚛, 𝙽𝚎𝚙𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚎…𝙸 𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚜𝚞𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚛.”Neri. Oh, Neri. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I swear, at one point, I was just highlighting everything this man said or did. One moment snarky, the next sweet, sometimes arrogant god, and then other times a poor, confused man. And I ate it UP. His development was my absolute favorite part of this story by far, and let me just say...being a god can have quite the perks. 😉If you’re looking for a new fantasy romance series, please step into the world of the Witch Walker series. You won’t regret it!

I am so hooked on this series
I am a suckered for mystical books and these ones deliver.I have devoured the first three books in a matter of weeks and now have to wait an eternity for the next one (a matter of months). Will I survive till then.Read the description of the first book to see if it's your thing. I think it will be worth it.About this book, I love the love story here, it's so romantic! (for a warrior/God type of romance)

This series and the characters own my heart completely
I just…have no words. Every book is a stunning masterpiece of character development. Seriously read this series. The plot has many layers that unravel a little in each book, leaving you questioning everything and needing the next book stat. It’s difficult to write a spoiler free review but if you’re looking at this book, you probably already know who it’s about. The depth of the emotions these characters feel and the transformation into passionate love is so beautifully written. It’s truly magical. When this series eventually ends, it’s going to be so difficult saying goodbye to this world and the characters. It’s going to be one I wish could discover again for the first time.

I could have read 500 pages more of these two
As soon as Neri and Nephele were introduced in the earlier books, I knew they would be my favorite so I was SO excited to have them get their own book. This was the best slow burn, with tension and great spice while also furthering the plot. Nephele is an absolute badass and I am so excited to see where this series takes her and Neri.

I want your surrender….
I have been consumed by this world all week. The characters, the plot, the world building, and the spice have left me in throes of want and need. Charissa you deviant plotter Queen. I feel adrenaline coursing through my veins. I’m ready to face what is yet to come and I’m afraid to see what the future holds.

Charissa Weaks has done it again. 🐺🥀
The Wolf and the Witch is book 3 in the Witch Walker Series by Charissa Weaks.Spoilers**This book picks up right where City of Ruin ended on Top of Mount Ulra except we are now in Nephale and Neri’s point of view. We follow Neri and Nephele as they work to help their friends and family, with preparing for Thamos’s impending attack in the wake of their losses and uncertainty following the events on Mount Ulra. Although we do have a strong presence from Alexus in the first half of the book, the focus is really on Nephele and Neri and them understanding their draw to each other and understanding their role in taking down Thamos. My heart ached when Fleurie and Alexus are reunited. The whispered words shared brought tears to my eyes. The torment and anguish was palpable.I loved the sarcasm and sexual tension between Neri and Nephele that grew to trust and understanding. The lust that turned to unspoken tenderness and love. The Wolf and the Witch was well written and made you turely feel for Nephele and Neri to a point where I am left wanting more of them and their story.“I barley know what to do with myself when she rises on her tiptoes and presses a sweet tender kiss to my mouth, and says, “I never could resist a rose. No matter how many thrones it bore.”“Look at you, letting a hungry wolf prowl into your bed chambers late at night. Naughty girl. “-enemies to lovers-1 bed-morally grey male character-strong female lead-sarcastic banter-gods and magick-found family

I'm so in love with this series OMG!!!
I loved every book and I was super excited about this one and I was not disappointed. We are in the aftermath of what happened at the end of Book 2 and we focus on Nephele and Neri, their deal and their curse and how they navigate through all of this together.Their story is perfect and the way it was written as well. I love their interactions and exchanges, the steam and attraction is here et it's getting hotter and hotter by the pages. We are more into a planning and strategy phase of the story but we also have lots of revelations and some introspection. Can't wait for for November and the next book :)

Great Novella
I think it was a great idea for The Wolf and the Witch to be a novella.I enjoyed all the knowledge you got with Alexus, Raina, Neri and Nephele and The prince without a name! The Wolf and the witch was well paced, I liked its rhythm.Neri and Nephele's banter was amazing and the tension between them was great! I enjoyed both of them as much as the main characters. They were so cute!I excepted more smut, but I think it was perfect like that! There were more actions and plots than smut. And the cover is gorgeous
