Crank 2 [Blu-ray]

Just to the right of the 18 rating on the back of the box are the words: Contains frequent strong violence, gore, sex, and very strong language. This is not an overstatement and it doesn't mention the copious amounts of female nudity. If anything the text should much larger, in bold, and with a dozen exclamation marks following it. And to think that I thought its predecessor, the simply named Crank, was over the top when in fact it is almost restrained compared to its sequel. Good grief. It isn't so much over top as fits a rocket to its bottom and flies over the top at a thousand miles an hour. Just watching this is exhausting.I loved it, of course. And it's also very funny if you get the joke, otherwise you'll run away screaming 'I repent! Bring back the censors!'If you like 'frequent strong violence, gore, sex, and very strong language', then you'll love it too.Jason Statham as Chev Chelios is a near unstoppable superhuman agent of chaos and mayhem as he maim, mutilates, kills, and destroys anything and anyone which gets in his way. His motivation is his search for his missing heart. The mcguffin is that he has to generate static electricity for his artificial heart by friction, and also any other means. He does this by rubbing up against other people to plugging himself directly into a power plant.Plus there's the gorgeous Bai Ling as a totally manic hooker and the gorgeous Amy Smart as his girlfriend. And if that doesn't convince you to get this DVD, nothing will.Good grief!

I was put off by buying this DvD by all the (Bad press), but i'm really glad i bought it second hand because its the funniest craizest thing i've seen in ages 9.5/10 its total mayhem from the word go and with just a bit of vivid imagination by us who watch it, it will go down well by all who watch it, this film works well in carrying on from where Crank the original finished, if your in the mood for a laugh watch it with friends to get a real feel of how Mad and OTT it really is.This film has more humour in it that any modern day pretend comedians that are out their, excluding Jim carey whose nuts in most of his Roles. Anywayzzzzzzz you'll love it,try it you'll like it OK.

This is almost as original as Crank one, but further out there. The Blu-ray has excellent quality with sharp images, good detail and depth, depite the entire movie is shot on consumer grade / Semi Pro HD cameras. Sound is awesome and envolving. Thumps up!You need to have a sense of humor to see the movie, and Statham is really at his best with a touch of comedy to his roles.I am 38 years old, - loves movies and I highly recommend you to see this, - but only if you have a sense of humor and do not get offended easily :-)Or even better: Watch Crank first - if you can take some more, - watch Crank two.

To far fetched for me. I like Jason S in his action movies more

Wonderful! I've never laughed so much. Yes there is extreme violence, yes there is continuous swearing, yes there is nudity and public sex watched by hundreds, yes there is superhuman action, yes it's unbelievable and over the top. So much so that it's like reading a comic. And that's the whole point - if you look at it as a film version of a comic - it works brilliantly. Don't take it too seriously, just because it's 'supposed' to carry on where Crank '1' left off. Enjoy it for what it is. It has everything. The triumph of good over evil (relatively speaking), revenge, love interest, humour, everyday life in America (thank God I live in Surrey) - all exaggerated to the nth degree.

Like Crank 1 but better with more cranking-out. If you've seen the first one, you know what to expect and will love it. If you haven't seen the first one then you probably shouldn't even be reading this - go read the reviews for the first film and watch that first before getting this or you might risk being massively offended and disappointed depending on what you're expecting.This is non-stop absolute carnage with a ridiculous story-line that only exists to string together the endless scraps, shoot-outs and general mayhem that follows Jason Statham around as he once against races against the clock for survival.

Totally ridiculous concept with over the top, high octane action and tongue firmly in cheek.This Statham sequel makes slightly more sense if you've seen the first instalment as it carries on directly from the end of Crank so I'd recommend seeing that first.It's a completely mad film which requires the viewer to suspend their disbelief, put their brain in neutral and get the popcorn out. I thought it was great. In fact I'd like to see it become a trilogy ;-)
