You could drop this a few times without worry.

It's getting ready to explode! Be aware that you shouldn't leave in a vehicle, your pocket or purse. The one I purchased has swollen so much that it's unsafe. It did this swelling almost overnight after charging on a windowsill.

This is not too heavy, but I could not get it to recharge. I followed the directions but stillNo. It works great when charged into the wall but not sure I would rely on this to charge my devices while backpacking.
