YAMAHA F370DW Acoustic Guitar - Natural

I am not a guitarist, I acquired this guitar in order to start learning (which I've commenced using a Tune a day book). I can't therefore give a massively knowledgeable review, but from my point of view it appears to be a very nice product. It appears to be reasonably priced, suitable for beginners (although to be perfectly clear I'm reviewing a product provided free of charge) and my wife, who has more of a musical ear than I tells me it is retaining its tuning pretty well. It is also a handsome looking beast.So I guess it is probably an ideal entry level guitar.

love hate relationship very nice looking guitar but i do not know how it sounds or plays because it arrived with the whole tuning head broken off just behind the upper white string bridge in a jagged one inch gash !! amazon dealt with my direct complaint within hours and refunded return carriage no polystyrene or protection in simple cardboard box !!! ideally a guitar should be mated with a hardcase no not u emir khan and that other one oh i can't remember his name just now big bloke u know what i mean harry that's the one

Great well made Guitar many features in the finish banding all round top and bottom.Saved all most £50 by buying torn box and and damaged wrapping around inside of the Guitar, arrived in perfect condition not a mark on it.

Good quality, good sound . I was plesently surprised when taking wrapping off.

excellent for beginner

This is an excellent value acoustic guitar and ideal for beginners or those moving up from starter kits. It arrived in large box which was not as strong as I would have liked. However it was flawless when removed and is supplied with an Allen Key for adjusting the neck nut along with instructions that warn to only do this if you know what you're doing. There is also leaflets confirming the service centres in country as well as the address of the warranty website which confirms it is guaranteed for 24 months in the UK (excluding strings of course).The guitar is a standard Dreadnaught shape, middle weight and was made in Indonesia. It is very well finished for the price with Sapele back and sides with a natural finished Spruce top although there is also a Sunburst version if you prefer. The bridge is Rosewood with ABS fittings and the top is protected by a black plastic pickguard. The neck is quite slim with a Rosewood fretboard and has a matt varnish that is very smooth and feels really nice in the hand.The guitar came tuned and well set up with decent strings and a nice low action. This is a real plus point for beginners as they are often put off trying to play badly set up budget guitars with strings like Cheese-wire. The tone was nice and mellow and it was easy to get good sound out of it even from an enthusiastic amateur like myself whether picking, playing open or barr chords. I actually prefered it to my Fender acoustic which was much more expensive although that does have a pre-amp and pickup.I think this is an excellent guitar for beginners as well as being a nice guitar to play for anyone.
