We hike a lot and I am always having to carry water proof matches to ensure if they get wet that we can still make a fire. This device helps supplement that need. Back in the day, Zippo lighters were the popular brand for lighters. But lighters don’t have the need that they once were called on to perform. These days, the need I think has moved in a different direction. I wanted a weather proof flame with a weather proof body that is dependable and I don’t have to fill. While this delivers all that … I do have to top off the energy every once and a while. But that is practically free.In testing, the flexible neck has its advantages to keep your hand away from the fuel for the fire and also gives you about a 2 1/4” drop in to light candles. It works for shallower candles but not deeper ones. Mostly because you have to hold the button down on the top of the lighter and your hand gets in the way.I was going to test the lighter being water proof. However, there is not silicon ring or anything when the cap is closed. So it is just plastic against plastic and does not appear to have a water proof seal to protect the lighter head or internal components. So I would say this is water resistant, not water proof.I would say this may be a little more bulky than traditional lighters but it suits a different purpose as well. It needs to be durable, weather proof and impact resistant. It is easy to operate and the lid is double secured by a hinged sort of latch. You have to pop that off before the release button can be operated to pop the lid open. There is not real indicator on when the battery has a full charge. Other than the fact that when you plug in the USB cable, a blue light illuminates. I assume when the light goes out that means the battery is full.I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, this passed all of my testing protocols with the exception of it being water proof. Nice single arc that is wind proof. You do have to get up next to what you want to catch fire too as the arcs are very small and low. Great all around tool. Hope this information was helpful. [4 Stars]

Love this lighter.
Super versital lighter. Works well, as expected. Love the little 3 inch, pull out extension. Makes lighting things much easier and not forced in to an awkward angle while lighting candles or other similar items. Charges easily and seals up well. Has a good size, without being awkwardly large. Easily fits in a bag, pocket, pouch or around the neck with the provided lanyard. Other then the normal issues with this style of lighter, such as when the contact points get dirty, this is an awesome addition to a bug out bag, hiking bag or just every day use. I dont love the way it seals up, but it's trivial. Definitely would recommend.

While there is still room for improvement this is the best of this type I have ever seen or used...The telescopic tip is an improvement over the previous versions of this kind and type of lighter as it allows the tip to go into the depths of candles that are inside of glass or metal cases which the previous versions could not reach due to the exterior immersions of the case of those lighters but this telescopic tip allows the user to easily reach the wicks of on candles that are recessed or in a concave opening. There is still room for improvement, no doubt, but this is easily the best of it's kind. Iyt comes with a ice little lanyard which is "O.K." and even a crappy little loop holder which is cheap. There isn't a way to tell how much battery power is remaining which a simple little 2 digit % display could easily show if it had on on the side. I also wish it had an internal USB connection for charging instead of a separate cable so I didn't have to keep track of two different items. Another side not is that it doesn't take that long for the tip to become hot to the touch when in use so be careful. So in short while there is still room for improvement(s) as for right now this is the one to get.Good day & God bless...Randall M. RueffK9RMR

What will they think of next?
This is one cool little lighter! It works, and well!My wife loves candles. She has them around the house and lights them regularly. As a result we go through lighters. I'll be interested to see how long this lighter lasts, but, I'd rather use batteries than disposable lighters. This lighter works well on other things too. I'm 57 years old and have recently cut way back on my alcohol consumption. Our state recently updated its laws regarding plants that can be recreationally consumed, so I've been transitioning to the much milder organic plant-based substance. This lighter is far superior to a flame. I love it! I will be buying more of these.I highly recommend this lighter!

Great little arc lighter
So far, this has been one of the better electric lighters I’ve used for some time! I love that it’s compact, but still can reach trickier candle wicks with the extendable neck. The button to open the top feels responsive and secure, and button to ignite the arc is at a 45 degree angle, making it easier to access. I also like that it came in this bright orange color, as this has made it much easier to spot at night (especially when camping). I haven’t tested the “waterproof” element, but I based on the build quality, plus the USB-C charging port being inside the cap, I would expect it will have no problems on those extra rainy days. Overall, this is a great lighter for anyone looking for a compact and convenient electric lighter!
