Nws043-49-VDE-210-SB N043-49-VDE-210-SB Number 49 VDE Cable Cutter in Self-Packaging, Silver/Red, 210 mm

Working on the railway I have to regularly cut cable of many different sizes and type (though rarely steel wired armoured). I and may others rate these highly. I have cut 48 core cables as well as power cables and after months of use they are still sharp. There is a reason that you see so many of these in peoples tool bags. I expect them to last years (i know people that have had them for over five). They get used multiple times a week, and they could still able to take a finger off! With having to cut through 650v cable(though always dead) knowing these are insulated to 1000v gives me piece of mind. Buy these and they will not let you down

They do an accurate cut and hold the cable well. However, the quality is below my NWS wire strippers as the blades are plated and quickly peel!

Nice set of cutters, comfy to hold & fit in hand nicely but I get the impression they won't last very long..

Blades are dented and warped on first use.manufacturers website states 70mm csa cutting for copper or aluminium but the blades have dented and buckled cutting the inner cores on a 5 core 50mm SWA which are made from copper.Maybe there is a caveat that im missing but I am beyond disappointed as my CK cable cutters which are rated to 30mm csa handled it no issues at all and are about half the price if that, these were supposed to be the upgrade from them.

Great cutters but dont be mislead into thinking they come with the clip on volt stick because they dont, the photos are misleading.The cutters are correctly weighted and easy to hold.The blades are sharpe and also ideal for stripping cable ends

Doesn’t come with the clips as mentioned and seen in picture. Purely just the cutter.
