Fun for all ages!
The media could not be loaded. Cute dolphin with a light and can shoot water from its blowhole . Love that it uses rechargeable batteries but with you could charge it inside the toy. Don’t like all the screws you need to remove to change batteries. It’s fast the tail swishes, and the demo mode is fun to let us just do its own thing during a pool day. Super fun !

Don’t get the remote control wet
We very much loved the dolphin for a week. Now the control and the dolphin don’t sync. We are guessing we should not have gotten the remote wet. The dolphin still works but just goes around in a circle. We can no longer control her with the remote.

How do I turn the actual dolphin off?
Do I need to unplug the battery every time it’s not in use, or is there another way to turn it off? I know the remote has an off switch but the dolphin stays on?

Poor design! Don’t buy not worth the price!
Absolutely hate it! There’s No on/off switch on the dolphin so you have to unscrew the battery every time you want to use it and when you’re done using it! Only the remote has an on/off switch! Also we just used it once and it doesn’t go straight or backwards it just goes in a circle as if it’s broken! Wish I read the reviews first!

Fun water toy
Sturdy parts, nice bright color, sprayer works, remote works, I like that there are two batteries so you can swap them out when one runs out, but swapping them out takes some time with three mini screws that have to be unscrewed and screwed back in every time.

It's Fun, but has its problems!
The media could not be loaded. From the moment I saw the "You And I Hooray Remote Control Dolphin Toy" I had to try it out, afterall it looked so cool. I wasn't completely wrong in my thinking.I think my 2 year old puppy Loki had the most fun of all! He was so tempted to jump into the pool but he did not. He slept very good that night! The first issue I encountered was getting the battery compartment screws out with the provided phillips screwdriver without striping them in place. After nearly striping two of the screws I grabbed one of my phillips screwdrivers and was able to remove all three successfully. After closer examination I noticed the ends of the tiny screwdriver had bent when I was using it. I immediately tossed the provided one in the trash. I was impressed that it did come with an extra battery and spare propellers, nice touch! The next problem I encountered was, why don't they have an on/off switch for the dolphin itself? There is on for the remote control however someone forgot to think this through, so after the first use I set the dolphin aside to dry off and the battery died in a relatively short period of time. So I finally realized I had to take those three tiny little screws out again, then carefully fight with that little connector to unplug the battery without ripping the wires out of the battery. It was a pain in the butt to say the least.Overall it is a cute novelty toy that might hold you attention for 1/2 an hour at a time! Who knows maybe you will have a blast playing with it in your pool. I any case for $30 dollars I will put my money someplace else.My hope is that my review will help you make a wise & informed decision.God bless.Pastor Michael Rodriguez

I am SO excited for my grandkids to play with this!
The media could not be loaded. My grandkids are coming to visit in about 10 days and I’m SO excited for them to get to play with this thing. My granddaughter is like a dolphin herself when it comes to playing in the water. My grandson, however, seems to prefer sitting on the deck and dangling his feet in the water. At least he used to be when he was 4. Now that he’s older… maybe he’ll be more into it.BUT… if he’s still not into swimming… we’ve got that situation taken care of! One of his FAVORITE things to do is play with remote controlled vehicles. NOW, if he chooses to, he can sit on the pool deck and steer this happy little dolphin all over the pool! The dolphin is made of pink and white plastic parts. It came in two separate pieces… the stationary main body and the flexible tail. I WISH I had taken a picture of how the two pieces fit together, but I was too excited and put it together without thinking of pictures. When I went to take it apart, I didn’t want to risk breaking one of the plastic tabs holding it together. But, it DID go together easily. It comes with two batteries that power the dolphin itself. There is a USB cable that comes with the unit in order to charge the batteries. The controller is powered by 2 - AAA batteries that you have supply yourself.Getting the batteries into the controller was rather simple. There was a small screw that you have to undo (screwdriver included) and then you remove the lid so that you can install the batteries. Return the lid to its proper place and replace the screw.IF there is one drawback to this box of fun is that it’s a bit of a challenge getting the three screws out of the battery compartment lid on the dolphin using the screwdriver they provide. At first, I tried using the screwdriver they supplied and it was just too small and I couldn’t get a good grip on it. Once I got my own screwdriver out, the process went WAY more easily! The other thing you should be aware of… and it’s not a big deal… is that once you connect the battery to the dolphin it is on and ready to respond to the controller. It’s not moving or anything… but the LED light is on and the receiver is on and awaiting commands from the controller… so it is using some battery power from the moment you plug together the battery connector.Once you hook up the battery to the dolphin, it is powered on and ready to be paired with the controller. Make sure you line up the battery cover properly… there IS a right way to position it! Get the screws replaced and firmly seated in place. You want to make sure that the battery compartment is tightly sealed in order to keep the water out!The pairing couldn’t be easier… once you turn on the controller… the dolphin and the controller are paired and ready to go. EXCEEDINGLY SIMPLE!!!I put the dolphin in the water and ran it through its paces. The controller is very simple to operate. But not so simple to control with one hand when you’re trying to video with the other hand… sorry about the video!I only shot video of it in its slower mode… but it’s got some pretty good giddyup and go when it’s in the faster mode. You can make it move forward… and it CAN go backward… though it doesn’t go backward nearly as easily as forward. But then… I don’t think dolphins can swim backward anyway! You can steer it left and right as well. There is also a button that makes it shoot water out through its “blowholes”. Yes… there are two holes when a dolphin only has one. Don’t count that against this little fella… it just makes it twice as cool! There is also an auto-mode where you push the button and it takes off in a swimming pattern and blows out water every now and then. The dolphin is moved through the water by two small propellers located on the underside of the body. When you push the buttons on the controller, it will cause either one or both of the propellers to turn and thus moving it forward or backward in a certain direction.I think this is going to be a “go to” for my grandson when he gets here! This is going to make pool time even more fun!You should know, I received this remote control dolphin in exchange for my unbiased review. Did it change the way I reviewed it? Nope… any slight fault it may have is MORE than made up by the fun it’s going to bring at pool time!
