The media could not be loaded.  I have been testing this fan for a while and it is amazing. The packaging is very compact and well-made as the quality of materials like all Hikari products. I also have the previous fan version which is superb. The instructions are clear, and the unit is easy to assemble. This fan is Perfect for any bedroom, office, garage, or just about anywhere as it has a powerful airflow. For this model I like the way the height insert can be removed or added so you can use the fan either on a counter or in the floor. Also, the Hikari fans has a great output with great variable wind speed so you can adapt the minimum air flow to a maximum air flow with 12 speeds. The remote control and the control panel has great features like “eco” so the fan works very quiet as a sleep mode. You can switch to either normal wind, natural wind, sleep wind or ECO. Also, you can turn off the panel light during night so the glare won’t bother. Another great feature is a 360 movement as you can set side to side movement, tilt up and down or all movements so it can oscillate 360. The Timer is a cool setting it can be set by hour. You also can press the Mute button to turn off or on the beep sound of the fan when selecting the functions.Pros: It’s an easy to clean unit because of the construction and easy disassemble. Also, it is safe for toddlers as they can keep the fingers safe due to the small gaps and distance of the blade and housing. Very lightweight to easy move around anywhere in the house or travel. Excellent customer service as they respond always if any issues.Cons: A detail that I would recommend is the extender should be adjustable like the previous version to avoid removing the extender or include 2 extenders if you want it medium size or taller like a conventional height fan. I also wish it had a night like the previous model because is a cool feature when using the fan in a kid’s room at night.As per my experience Hikari products are excellent as they customer service. I would highly recommend this product and brand.

The media could not be loaded.  This little fan has some real output.  When I first pulled it out of the box I was admittadly a bit skeptical as once it is assembled it does not have the same height that other standing fans have.  However once you turn it on and crank it up that seems to be irrelevant eslecially as ypu adjist the tilt of the fan housing (by way of remote).  I also like how you can remove one of the riser inserts to make it more of a counter fan if you like.  The remote sleeve on the riser insert is nice to store the remote when its not in use so you don’t lose the little remote.  I’m mixed on the little remote it comes with.  I’ve got similar remotes for lights and such and they all seem to be infared where you don’t have to have line of site to control the actual device where as with this you do need to have line of site.  Is it a deal breaker for me?  No.  It just would be a nice addition in case you wake up groggy and are trying to be awake enough to get it pointed in the correct direction in the dark.  There is also an element of having to remember button placement for those times when it is dark but I think the main buttons a person plan on using are conveniently located along the exterior of the remote where a user can feel there way around in the dark.  I do feel like the remote has some nice functionality to it.  I haven’t used some of the functions on it like eco and the timer but I do like that it not only can be set to go side to side but also up and down at the same time if you choose.  I personally have no need for the oscillating functions but it is nice that instead of getting up all the time to tilt the fan up or down to the perfect height you are looking for you can do it from wherever you are sitting.  That comment makes me sound like ‘a lazy American’ but lets be real, I don’t feel like getting my exercise in getting up to adjust the fan at times when I’m likely trying to relax or cool down in front of a fan.  I’m a huge fan of the fact that it has 12 speeds to it vs the normal 3 setting fans we’re so accustomed to.  It really allows you to dial in the perfect airflow you are looking for.  On high the air can be felt from an ample distance.  As far as noise is concerned, sure, it makes noise when its on its highest setting.  But this is not something that can be changed.  I say that because the motor itself is very quiet, its more the wooshing noise that all bladed fans are going to have when blades are spinning fast and pushing air at high speeds.  That said it really is most noticeable on the two highest speed settings (11 &12) which if you have it on that high you likely dont care if it any fan sounds like a muscle car as you'll do anything to stop the sweat from burning your eyeballs out.  Overall by fan standards I’d say its quiet and smooth with an expected sound level at higher speeds.  One thing I would call out is that the width of the fan housing is about 9-10” across.  I call that out because for the way I use standing fans we rarely have them oscillating.  There is nothing worse to me than getting that 2 seconds of relief when the fan hits you before moving on to the next person.  So with its smaller blade stature combined with the fact that we will likely not have it on oscillating mode it does feel more like a ‘personal’ fan where users will be jockying for their position in front of the wind stream vs as acting as a whole room cooling solution.  I will add though that since ours is being used in conjunction with a ceiling fan this is a perfect compliment together and works great for our needs.  Perhaps Hikari also has a bigger model that would suit those needs as well? I’m also a big fan of the digital display on the front.  Its nothing fancy or complicated by any means but it adds an element of ‘richness’ to it that most fans don’t have and makes it seem more expensive.  The fan is definitely stable and I do not feel like I need to have one eye on it that its going to fall over at a mere flick of a finger.  If you have children there is no fear of them getting their fingers inside the unit and getting injured.  I like how there is a nice easy way to grab the fan from behind and move it where we want.  Its also nice and light so moving it is effortless.  As a buyer of other Hikari products I will say I’m genuinely impressed by their customer service and willingness to go the extra mile to help their customers out.  They are a company that stands behind their products which is really refreshing. Bottom line I would recommend this fan for puchase.
