Best balance of insulation and capacity for its dimensions
Love the dimensions-- it fits into my car trunk and has enough capacity to hold what I need to pack for a 3-day trip. Sometimes, these style coolers have such thick walls that there is no interior capacity, but this one does. That's not to say that the insulation is inadequate, in fact, I was very pleased with the performance. A well constructed drain and plug and rubber latches that are easy to use. Time will tell if the rubber latches age well, as well as the white plastic color. The plastic seems pretty non-porous, but its white, so may not stay that way long??? On the other hand, white is a reflective color, so it may perform well even if left in the sun (I have not tested that). Finally, this is a great value for the performance. Don't buy those crazy-expensive brands, this one performs very, very well at a bargain price.

Stood the test of time
I have had this cooler for over 6 years with knly one issue, the o-ring on the drain plug looks dirty. This has been a great cooler for a much less price than a yeti.

Very good cooler at a very reasonable price!
I bought this cooler to replace a cheap Coleman cooler that came with my teardrop trailer and did not hold ice for long. I looked at many coolers and decided to try this one. The cooler performs very well for the price. put 2 gallon sized Ziploc bags of Ice and a small 6"x8" cod pack in it and food and drink for a weekend camping trip in it. 3 days later on return there was still about 1/4 of the ice still in the ziplocks and the remainder of the food was still cold. The design is good. The drain plug screws in securely the drain area is recessed. Meaning you should easily be able to drain off any water. The edges are rounded, recessed areas as handles, sturdy construction and the gasket is wide and seems to seal well. This is not a Yeti or other brand name super cooler. The insulation is not as thick as those. 2 inches-ish. But unless you really need the over built Yeti type coolers this one holds ice better than most and will serve most people very adequately at a very reasonable price. I am very satisfied with it and I think it will be all I need it to be for years to come.

Tough, and the ice doesn't melt in 6 hours like a cheapie.
The picture is from a day trip I made with a friend last Saturday. We put two bags of ice on top of room temperature water bottles, and tossed in some cold Gatorade and snacks at the same time as the ice in the morning on the way out. The cooler rides on the Garvin rack, in full sun etc. As I write this, on a WEDNESDAY night, the bottled water is still cold, and there's a little ice left. It's been sitting on the garage work bench since Saturday when we got home. I'd guess a good part of that ice melted just to cool off the warm water bottles. It's TOUGH. I didn't realize it would feel like solid steel after all the flimsy injected mold crap coolers I've had over the years. I'm a large man, over 350 lbs. and this thing can be sat on. The seal works well, as you have to pull hard to open it after an altitude change such as going back down off this mountain we were on top of. The cooler itself isn't light, so with ice and etc. it's a good lift up to that rack which is almost 6 feet up.I like the drain plug, it does NOT have to come all the way out to drain the water, so no losing it. It can be removed by unscrewing it the rest of the way, but has a tube with holes so it can stay in and still drain. The latches are like Jeep hood latches and hold it shut in the 70 MPH wind on the cargo rack.

Solid but won’t compete with arctic, yeti, orca on insulation thickness
It’s got a good seal. Forms a vacuum when the air inside cools. I’ve never had a cooler do that. The hardware, latches and drain are good. It is sturdy and easy to use.The downside is that the thickness of the walls is a lot less than the coolers that it is competing with.I get about 36 hours out of 20 pounds of ice as long as I pre cool, keep it shaded and drain excess water. It’s ok for the price but I wish I’d realized how thin the insulation is on this one.It would be fine for a cooler climate.

As good as a Yeti and has better results than the Pelican
We purchased this cooler for the size( 40 QTS) and for the advertised performance. It looks like a yeti and has similar cooler lid tie down straps. We previously had purchased a Pelican but returned it after testing how poorly it held ice overnight; plus the overall bulk of it (36 qt) was larger than a typical 54 Qt cooler. The Giantix cooler did not disappoint us. It held a small sample of ice ( from our refrig ice maker) overnight; this amount of ice is not really enough to pre-cool a ice chest, which in some posts say you need to do. But that is not what I think should be necessary. The Giantix has nice lines, simple and easy to use. My wife loves the white color. The best part, it costs a lot less than a Yeti and the Pelican ( both of those are over $200) but we believe it works as good. We recommend this cooler for other value buyers.

Looks cool but really doesn't outperform much less expensive units. A fine stepstool.
There are drastic cutouts on three sides which kill it's ability to keep cool. It sits there and sweats on both sides and the back. Also around the back hinges... You will look cool with warm food and drinks... Yes, I Pre-chilled it very well. It was convincing until i realized how cold the sides were where the cutouts are.. If you just look from above while it's open the sides look thick... But they are not... I wish I hadn't got sucked into the craze... I tried to save money but I lost it all.
