Very sturdy and great quality

Came well packaged, and was easy to assemble. Instructions were adequate. Plenty of rack cage nuts and screws for the standard square holes on the frame. The casters were average, but it came with levelling feet if you choose to not use the casters. Overall rack was well built. I have 2 audio amps, 2 network switches, a rack mixer, and a couple audio patch panels, PDU, and a UPS all on the rack and it held up excellently in the past year. No burrs, fit and finish was excellent.

Does exactly what its suppose too

Order this for my home studio rack setup and it has been nothing less than amazing. Assembly wasn't too bad but there weren't any instructions included.

It's that good!

Pros:1 - Heavy duty construction2 - Well machined parts3 - One extra screwComments:Let's get right to it. I needed a rack to hold my audio components including two amplifiers which together weighed 95 pounds and this rack does that easily. The the steel parts (only 8 for the 20u rack) are well formed with rolled edges (no cuts!) and when assembled, the rack is square and does not wobble. It does not come with any shelves but for my rack I added a full size shelf (1/3 up from the bottom) which makes the rack rock solid stable. The silk screened rack position marking are also spot on. A rare treat and near impossible to find at this price. The rack was supplied with a bag of screws and nuts which were for rack assembly. All of the screws were well machined and there were no stripped or badly threaded screws or nuts. The rack assembly time is substantial as there are 16 sets (screw & nut) for the wheels, 16 sets for the (4) upright bottoms, 16 sets for the upright tops and another 4 screws for each side... and one extra screw is included so don't freak out.I gave this rack 5 stars for being easy to assemble because I've assembled this type of rack before and this one didn't have any issues with being out of square or having stripped screw holes.... but. First timers and pros alike should be prepared to spend HOURS assembling this thing. As I pointed out, there are a LOT of screws and you shouldn't use power tools because you can easily damage a screw head or mis-thread a screw. At a leisurely pace (tv on, talking on the phone and slacking in general) it took me about 3 hours to unbox, assemble the rack and put in one shelf. Be aware that this rack uses captive nuts for the shelves which are time consuming to insert. In the end it took 3 days (had to next day order more shelves to complete the racking of components) to finish the rack.BTW, I read the other reviews and yes, I too have bought some crappy racks but this one, at this price is fantastic! If you buy one, take your time assembling it and you will be rewarded. Thanks for reading!

Pretty good rack for the price!

So first off, I got the 22U rack with the two shelves. The rack and shelves seem very sturdy, and was pretty easy to put together. The whole thing is connected with M6 screws and nuts. In my box, there were 58 screws and nuts, enough to put it all together correctly with a couple spares (16 for the casters, 16 each for the top and bottom to attach the vertical rails, and 8 for the side rails.) It also came with a full bag of cage nuts and screws for racking equipment (at least 50, maybe more), 4 small screws for the two cover plates on the bottom, the 4 casters, and 4 feet with long bolts with two nuts. The front and back of the rack have numbers printed to mark each U of space and to help make sure you are properly aligned. The shelves seem sturdy but are only two post shelves and do not extend the full width of the rack. I expected this so thats fine. Also, this is only a ~17" deep rack so you can't rack your normal size Dell or HP servers in it unless you don't mind them hanging out the back. The rack mount rails have the normal square cutouts for cage nuts. The top of the rack, for me, comes just a little above my navel, so I am thinking about having a monitor, keyboard, and mouse on the top instead of using the shelf for the keyboard and mouse. Hopefully I will be able to fit my Dell T3500 and my old gaming PC on the floor of the rack, and then above it I can rack my main switch, router, and the other rackmount items I have. I'll update this review if there are any additional comments later.

Struggles with 125 lbs of gear. Poor Casters/Feet. Could be better. Still buy...

I wanted to give this less than 3 stars, but it is a "Value". And will be GOOD for light-duty, semi-permanent use.I am using this in my recording studio and it struggles to hold and roll around with 125# of gear in it. Most of my audio gear weighs about the same as network gear except my power amplifier at 37# and Tape Deck at 25#. The 37# amplifier was straining the rack without the included, but not shown or documented, additional bracing. Thankfully they included this extra bracing.First. The casters are light-duty junk, the holes for the caster are not drilled out large enough to properly slip them in an place a nut on them. I was able to "zing" them in with a drill and properly lock them with nuts. (Another reviewer mentioned this issue too). Some of the casters roll and spin OK, but no two casters have the same 'action'.In addition to casters, there are adjustable feet that ~ideally~ could be used in conjunction with casters. Again, issues here. * The caster locking mechanism interferes if you install both caster and feet *. Ideally, like a refrigerator, you would wheel this where you want it, and drop the adjustable feet for leveling, keeping it in a fixed position. To make matters worse these feet/levelers attach to the thin weak steal. With 125# of gear they started warping/flexing the steel making them useless in my situation. There is a third option-- Skip the casters/feet altogether and hit your local hardware store for heavy duty furniture mover/sliders...All said and done, if you sticking to lighter equipment this is a good rack that, for me, was easy to assemble despite the LACK OF GOOD INSTRUCTIONS. If you are not mechanically inclined, or struggle with IKEA furniture instructions (which are 100 times better than what you get with this) be aware. If, like me, you can look at IKEA furniture and- take it as a challenge to build without reading the instructions, you will be fine. It is pretty intuitive, a top, bottom, 4 posts, casters/feet. Make sure you have the 4 posts in their right positions with the RU numbers going the right way. Finally, no rack will give you enough hardware. I didn't use what was included, but it looks like there is enough hardware to rack mount 4 things. So, buy additional hardware if you have more than 4 things. One other 'would be nice' would be all black hardware. I ended up using black hardware from another rack I had to make it look better.2.5 Stars because of the Caster/Feet issues. Rounding up to 3 Stars for Value. 3 Stars = Good / Buy with caution based on use case.
