Good option for a failed receiver on Liftmaster garage door opener.
Great little work around for a bad motherboard on liftmaster garage open. Wish it could pick up signal a little further away but who knows maybe that's my remotes problem.worth the money.

Best Investment Ever!
Pros:I am so glad my son in-law told me to buy this garage receiver. Best investment ever. I have a old garage door opener that is probably so out dated that it’s a 70/80 model, that I can’t even get parts for. I rent so the landlord won’t invest in replacing the garage door opener, since it still works. I just had no remotes to it. But after doing my research on here, I found everything I needed. A total cost for this & the remotes came to around $50. Bought both Amazon. It took five minutes to hook up. I would purchase this again!Cons: This item is out of stock, so I had to order online with another company for my neighbor of my duplex.

Easy to Install and Less Expensive than other options
I have a Chamberlain automatic garage door who's remote receiver stopped working unless you were within a few feet of the unit. It made it difficult to open the door and did not allow me to use my already installed myQ internet connected garage door system. With research, I found it is likely that the remote sensor on the motherboard was likely faulty. To replace the motherboard it would have cost about $80. However this item was only $27. It is easy to install and bypasses the faulty remote in the opener without affecting any other functions. I am now able to use my homelink remote in my car from at least 60 feet and the myQ unit on that door is back to working. I used the 490 MHz (for orange learn button) 635LM unit.

Does not work as promised
Replacement for a Liftmaster receiver which, incidentally, looked identical to this. Claims it works with Liftmaster. It did not. tested the old unit again and worked fine so knew it was installed correctly. Minimal instructions and had to look up online.

New Life for Old Garage Door Openers
My Lift Master Professional Security + opener has had problems with the logic board for several years. Consequently the remotes worked intermittently and had very limited range. After an easy installation of this external receiver, the opener now functions like new with a dependable, one push maximum range of approximately 35 feet through an insulated metal door! No more standing there like an idiot wishing that the door would open. Hell yeah!
