Medium - Season 3 [DVD]

Season 3 starts so strongly....but one crazed gunman, a sociopathic insurance company, a terminally blinkered journalist and a backstabbing Acting DA with no soul later...they end series three....without the satisfaction of seeing Jason Preistley get arrested again....just some final line from Supergirl The Psychic saying "You can thank me later."At this point I do feel the need to admit that I think Neve Campbell is a gorgeous knockout.....which actually takes the edge off how terminally stupid her character P D McCall is. Now Im not saying even fictional characters deserve to die buuuuut... theres something to be said for natural selection, put it that way.Any good that is in the first four and a half discs get drained out and turns into some massive black hole, when the writing gets....just a little bit too....experimental.As a British person I am in fact forever mystified by certain aspects of US Drama.....no matter how many times I witness it. My British mind cannot comprehend just how heartless US insurance companies are....it rejects it...overload etc...An overegged end to an otherwise stellar season....it bothers me when they botch endings....it really does.

A repeating theme of trying to keep her gifts a secret from the general public cumulates in a devastating season closer for Patricia Arquette's portrayal of the real life Allison DuBois. Incredible episodes again this season, one of my personal favourites is Very Merry Maggie, with an hilarious opening where Allison; Joe and the kids become dolls! I love the episode's climax, showing Manuel and his wife, Lily, driving on what seems to be a pointless journey on the anniversary of their daughter, Arianna's death, when they are guided by Arianna to the most beautiful field of zinnias <3.

In the third series Allison (Patricia Arquette) returns with threats looming over her husband Joe, and her three children, Ariel, Bridgette and Marie. With Allison still using her gifts to help Phoenix District Attorney Devalos (Miguel Scandoval) the third series of Medium delves into darker themes yet. With a brilliant mix of comedy, horror and surrealism the content becomes even more mind bending leaving you wanting more and more! Having seen the complete series when it was televised, we decided to start purchasing the DVDS, as we think it was something different from the norm with such absorbing storylines. An excellent series that we never get bored with. Highly recommended.

Medium my new addition! I resently just found out about this show I watched a few episodes on YouTube I am other addicted and as I have brought seasons 1&2 I had to buy this !This show is better then ghost whisper it's more about the people and story's are always thrilling and changing. Patricia Arrquette is Amazing in this ! Medium is my new Addition. .. I will continue to buy more Amazon please get more seasons in stock !! -
