Good for oculus link
Works for oculus link, and is surprisingly light so perfect for the job. The quality is not quite as good as I was expecting after reading the reviews but it does what I want well so I’m happy. Be aware if using it for link it wouldn’t work in all my usb sockets but when it Does it works very well.

Incompatible with Samsung phones
For some reason this cable does not work to extend the USB connection to Samsung S7 or S10 phones, shows unrecognized device error. Phones work with a USB 2.0 extension of the same length. Cable works fine with USB hard disk and with USB flash drive. Shame as it is a good quality cable.

High quality USB 3.0 active cable
Very high quality lightening-fast cable. Excellent build quality, heavy duty screening, solid connectors. I use it in my photograqphic studio where reliability is important, recommended!

Did not support tethering of my camera to laptop
I purchased this cable to allow me to shoot my Nikon D800 tethered to my Macbook Air. Unfortunately the cable doesn't seem to support that, either it's defective or perhaps it just isn't designed to do so. I can tether fine in Lightroom 4 using the short Nikon supplied cable (although it does take a while to recognise the camera). When I use the Lindy extension cable, the camera is never recognised by the computer.I also tried attaching an unpowered USB hard drive to my computer using the Lindy extension cable - the drive powers up but never appears in the Finder. Again, this drive works fine with a normal USB cable.In summary, it looks like I purchased a very long, very expensive USB charging cable.

In this age of cheap and poorly made consumer products, the quality of this usb extension really stands out. It's proven itself ideal for camera tethering in the studio from day one.

Does not work with Nikon D800 coupled with 1M usb3 cable
Unfortunately this active extension cable does not work for tethering with my D800 from nikon. I have coupled this with the 1M usb3 cable http://www.amazon.es/dp/B002TWCM8A/ref=pe_386191_37038281_pe_217181_31005141_M3C_dp_1Don't waste your money if you want to tether a D800, I wish I had read the other reviews first as I would see that other people have the same issue.
