This code reader works very well. I do a lot of my own mechanic work when possible, so this is a really nice thing to have. It seems to throw codes accurately and it is very easy to use/navigate. Overall, I'm happy with its performance.

I'm an older seasoned automotive technician, I'm reviewing this product based on my many years of experience in the field using high quality tools. This hand held scanner is basically a code reader and digital battery tester, it will clear trouble codes, and does give a simple information data stream. Comes with 2 cords, the OBD2 cord, and a battery test cord that uses the same port on the scanner. Can be used on any OBD 2 protocol based vehicle. Scanner is somewhat small in size, but does use simple prompts to direct user in the operation of the scanner. Diagnostic cord is a little short to be considered user friendly. Unit is pretty lightweight and the quality is questionable. The digital screen is a little small, but is readable, instruction manual is included, unfortunately the print is small and hard to read. The library that the scanner has is only for the most basic of diagnostic codes, so not much of an option. Scanner comes with a soft case to protect the scanner while being stored, storage pouch could be just slightly larger. Price point is reasonable high for this item.

This unit comes with a monitor, carrying case, & 2 cables - one for the battery attachment and one to connect to OBD (on board diagnostic) port. It’s rechargeable and has a usb_C port to plug in for charging. It’s not a touch screen, buttons are used to navigate. It’ll read in both English and Metric units.When connected to the OBD port, the unit will link to the car and determine the car model. You scroll through the menus to see data about the car's performance. It will tell you the codes if the car is registering an error. This reader worked fine for my VW Tiguan when tested. I didn’t have any messages on the dash and it confirmed the car showed no error codes. You can also see the engine performance data, which is useful.I haven’t had a need to connect the battery cable and try it, so I can’t speak to its performance yet. Overall, it seems an ok unit. The screen reads ok; it’s not super hi-res but good enough and the navigation between screens was fine. Handy tool to have for those who are mechanically inclined or want to know what’s going on with their car if a dash light comes on.

I’m not a professional mechanic but I would rather work on my car myself when it’s possible. The check engine light came on in my car so I decided to give this a try to see if I could diagnose the problem to fix it myself. When I plugged it in I found out it was a bad O2 sensor which was easy for me to replace. I probably saved more than the price of this scanner by using it that one time so for me it is well worth it. I’m sure some of the more expensive units will do more but this one works great for my needs.

It’s a nice little unit but it could be better. Unit feels decent but lacks any weight making it seem a bit cheap. Has plenty of features but when it comes to reading codes, it lacks any real information. I like that it comes nicely in a compact case. Overall great as a spare scanner to keep in the car and for checking the battery.

Komt bekrast aan EN heeft compatibiliteitsproblemen met de stekker, na tal van pogingen op verschillende auto's uiteindelijk een auto gevonden waar het op past, maar het kon de fouten niet lezen.

Prodotto usato e non funzionante, con parti mancanti, peccato perché sembrava interessante, provato su due auto che hanno un lettore obd2 fisso, solo che non mi cancellano gli errori, questo non si collega proprio, arrivato senza borsa, poche righe sul display, tornato indietro..

J ai retourné l appareil parce qu il ne fonctionnerait pas sur mes deux voitures alors qu il est sensé fonctionner.

Got this to scan the wires car when it came up with a check engine light - rather than taking it into the garage.Scanner was easy to use, just connect to the ODBII post - usually on the dash / under the steering wheel and away you go.Fault code confirmed a faulty sensor - that was in an easy position for me to change myself - job done and saved me some dosh!
