Purchased as an AI test bed.
I thought this would be a great device to use as an AI test bed. 8GB GPU great for all that. First issue, Dell has already updated these as AI machines, but since I can only currently find an upgrade to 12 GB GPU, I cannot currently use mine for AI. I am going to have to do some research to upgrade the GPU since the new standard for AI is 16 GB. it does work wonderfully for Linux as I am learning to do networking on that platform. I also do not like the pot metal backing on the device. I had to remove the cover to remove the GPU to force an at the time bricked machine to allow me to get into the BIOS. It is a test best so yes, I experimented with the settings. The cover was hard to get off. Then the system of holding the graphics card bent when I tried to put the cover back on. I ended up taking a deep breath and long nose pilers to bend the case into shape to put the cover back on. A neat and tidy fit is crucial to this device as, if the cover is not back on correctly, the power button won't engage. I don't think the case can put up with being opened to many more times before its trash. Very much unlike Dell as I have seen other models of their small form factor units and serviced them that are of a much hardier design.
