Had evap leak ,replaced with this evap pump. Check engine light returned. Took my van to a garage because I thought I had a bigger problem. $238.00 dollars later van is fixed. They replaced the evap pump module again. Problem solved. THIS PART IS JUNK!!! Buy from a local parts store and save yourself some grief.

Part was defective
I ordered this part and installed it assuming it was good. The gas cap error was still present on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler. I took the Jeep to a mechanic and he determined this new part was bad. He replaced it and charged $426 for the part and labor. I could have saved $426 if the part I was sent was good.

Didn't work correctly, replacement from Dorman (Same part#) works fine
The OEM unit had weights inside that acted as valves and regulated the pressure; this one did not, but rather uses springs. Not sure if that matters, but the small evap leak OBD code came back after installing this part. I sent it back, and got a refund. Maybe I got a dud, but I decided to try a different brand.I replaced it with a Dorman unit with the same part #; it, too, does not have the weights, but has been going strong for weeks without issue (OBD code cleared and hasn't come back). It was a little more expensive but in the end, if it doesn't work it's not worth even a cheaper price. These just twist on and the connector snaps in, no tools required. You don't even have to jack up the minivan.
