No due to being suede. I did spray mine with a protection before wearing.

Q: do these fit like a crew loafer? I am normally an 8 in shoes but those loafers I seem to be.a 7.5 and want to confirm they run similarly

I don't know what a "crew loafer" is, but I will say that these shoes fit at expected--true to size. I normally wear a 6 and I ordered a 6 and it fits EXACT and is extremely comfortable! They are my favorite shoes!
