Life in Prison

... Williams gave me a perspective on how life is like behind bars
This book by Stanley Williams gave me a perspective on how life is like behind bars. He begins to explain how he grew up in a bad neighborhood that wasn’t a good example for him, but the way he described how life in prison was like for him, was truly an eye opener to me because I’ve seen a lot of students at my high school that don’t even try and just want to skip classes, argue and fight, etc.. and it has encouraged me not to get there since it really is a sad and horrid situation to be in, especially if that means you won’t be able to see your family members anymore only if they visit which leads to the inmates getting stripped searched and it wouldn’t be something you would get use to. Stanley William was descriptive about living behind bars, all the loud noises from other inmates, foul odors, no privacy, being locked up, no freedom, you’re constantly being watched, etc..and he was sincere and provided background information towards writing this book, I truly recommend it especially to young troubled people.

Great quick read
Book is relatively short but i was the one who didnt take a look at the size however the book is great and can help people especially younger people learn about life in prison. I purchase from the seller clearance book sales and they were excellent kept in touch and quick delivery i would buy from them again.

the real side of prison life, raw and not sugar coated
stanley tookie williams shows young people what really goes on in prison, raw and in your face, these young kids n young adults think its cool to go to prison, you just do your time and come home, its not the case,he tells them, you have to watch your back at all times, you can get killed any time, in the shower, in the yard, mess hall, he tells them the rough side, no privacy, the strip searches, the inamtes with mental illness, no one is safe prisoners or guards and both have been killed

Information
When I was inspired to write a person incarcerated, I decided I should do some background reading. This book was excellent in helping me understand the pressures, and real dangers, and the administrative attitude that a person incarcerated in an American prison faces. I thought the book seemed to be written to a younger audience, and was not as specific as I hoped to have it be.The vendor's service was excellent.

Not unique
Only after his death does this book now have significance as he had many years behind bars and changed his mindset in spite of the fact that they said he was arrogant and hostile during his execution. He did a lot of good for the kids to keep them out of gangs.

You gotta respect
From when a brother like big took is telling you not to go to prison truss me you gotta re think about your life and ask yourself is it really worth living that lifestyle, because unlike others when you read this book towards the end you can see he regrets most of the things hes done and i respect it even more because Reading about Big Took helped turn me away from that lifestyle

It's an Article, not a Book - very short, huge text.
The book is 80 pages long, but with HUGE text, and many half/quarter pages, plus many black and white photo pages. It would be 15-20 pages if the text were printed at normal size, with no photos. It's an article, not a book.

Straight to the Point
Quick, simple read provides some unique insight. There was some repetitive information which reflects on the editing.Would have liked some more detail.
