Diggin Spinos Mega Trax Challenge Game

Awful design
Set this up for my nephew with high expectations and he was let down within minutes. The ball is not designed well... The idea is that the matching magnetic charge pushes the ball, but the negative field is so close that it ends up countering the push... Not to mention that the magnet is so weak that you might as well push the ball with your finger. On to the track design... I wouldn't even call it a track. It's basically a platform. A 1 inch or less platform that you have to try to rush the ball acrossed or balance it through slowly or it falls. In less than 5 minutes I heard the words, "can we put this back in the box?"The excitement the kids in the commercial expressed was probably bring told they could go home and do something else.

Very poor functionality
I don't like when people start their reviews saying they never write reviews, but now I completely understand. I never write reviews, but I use them so frequently to make decisions about purchases that I felt compelled to chime in when I saw that this product only had one review. I 100% agree with the other reviewer. My son was extremely excited about this set which he chose for his birthday and tried to play for about ten minutes before realizing what a disaster it was. It does not work properly or at all as advertised. The magnetic force is much too weak to control the spinos ball in general and nearly impossible to control on the "track". Controlling the ball is horrible to begin with, but once it rolls it rolls right off the track and you have to wave the ring around trying to get a weak magnetic connection to occur. It's silly and provided no level of entertainment to a 7 or 3 year which isn't too complicated to do. It would be laughable if it was free, but since it's not I can only advise that people spend their money elsewhere.

Perfect for 10 yr child
Awesome toy for a 10 yr boy who no longer plays with toys. Once he conquered finding the necessary distance from ring to ball, he enjoyed conquering the track. The fact that the track is tricky was the best feature. Had the track been plain, he would toss it and keep the ball. I recommend this toy for the mid-aged children who enjoy challenges rather than basic toys.
