Good, not subtle, pleased.
Nice bit of kit.Built like a tank.On opening the packaging (a foam lined box, nice) I noticed that there was a definite rattle and my immediate thought was something was broken. After unscrewing the 4 plate screws on the bottom, I noticed that ti was just the 9V battery connector moving around, not disconnected just banging around in a cheap plastic rectangle for the battery space, not the best quality but does the job.Anyway, powered it up (note that there's no power supply with the pedal) with a standard 9V pedal supply and plugged it into my system.Good sturdy foot switch, the 6 control knobs are smooth and tight, good sound straight off the bat.Maxing out the bass and harmonics knob gives you a good thick, subby sound, the treble control brings in brightness without getting too harsh and the volume control works as it should. The drive knob is the only point of consternation, it seems to be either nothing from 7 o'clock (0) to 3 o'clock (about 3/4 of the way round) then drive then straight into distortion (good distortion), so there's not much subtlety there. The mix knob then lets you roll some of the dry sound back in to preserve the low end so I quickly dialed in a Newstead/ Black album bass sound. Nice. For a clean and punchy direct sound it's great, for a distorted clank with lots of low end it's great, there's just not much inbetween.Overall for the price, it's a good buy and recommended.

No power supply with device
I have seen this on YouTube, but there is no mention that it DOES NOT arrive with a power supply on the listing at all you will have to find on you already have or buy it extra

Chunky box with great Distortion
I like this pedal , it has a good range of distortion sounds to it. I stack it up with a Joyo Overdrive to record directly in to my Zoom recorder. For the price it's great , check out youtube demos .

nice unit
the knobs on the left are useful for taking a more harsh straight digital delay off the effect. For those of us that want a slightly more analogue sound that you get with a tape echo this can be achieved with a bit of fiddling around.I'm sure that if you're a purist it won't be good enough, but for the money I think this is a very good buy.

Its pink and it rocks
Like with all pedals and sounds its a really personal thing but I really lije this pedal. Its sonewhere between over drive and distortion wirh some extra fuzziness thrown in . It has certainly enhanced my sound and sustain. Its cool and pink

Smashing for dub bass lines...who knew?
Love this little tone swissarmy knife. I was doing some recording for a reggae band recently on my Jazz bass, which if you know about Robbie Shakespeare , you’ll know it was his weapon of choice on those seminal Grace Jones albums ( and the Taxi, etc projects also) so... I was using my Avalon U5 (10 times the price) couldn’t quite nail the sound after considerable twiddling of EQ etc. Plug in this chap and quite literally BOOM. Within 2 minutes I was laying down some heavy bass. I’ve yet to use the rock/distortion side of the unit in anger but the few minutes I played with this side of the pedal I can foresee no problems. Now this sits in my studio as a GO TO item. Anyone want to buy an Avalon U5?

WHAT A PEDAL.
This pedal is the freaking top dog.I’ve played with sansamp and shadow sky pedal, and this pedal smashes them out of the park in terms on price.I’ve used it on tour and in studios. It’s never let me down,Strong build quality means it can take a good kick when a crowd member jumps on stage and boots it into the photo pit.The range of tones you can get blew me away. I could get a clean jazz tone to a grunge fuzz tone mixed with muses classic hysteria tone.Have recommended this pedal to many of my bass mates. If your even slightly tempted, just get it. Trust me.

Versatile and capable pedal
This is a good distortion pedal, capable of a variety of different tones. It has the usual parameter knobs, but effectively doubles the variety by including a switch to simulate either germanium or silicon diodes. The germanium sound is softer and has a more vintage feel, whereas the silicon sound is sharper and more modern. All in all a versatile little pedal, which also feels solid and well-built.
