typical aluminium
the positives - arrived really quickly and at a good price. i would buy it again.the negatives - not perfectly straight. not sure what they used to cut it to length but they were not very good cutters. tolerances not too good. it was supposed to be 8mm but it was actually 8.1 and so I had to reduce it down.in hindsight I ought to have bought steel.would i buy it again though - yes.

None cut straight or to the same length.
Arrived badly packaged and all four were badly cut (none are straight so I'll have to cut them straight myself).

Beware: it hardly fits any 8 mm bearing, so not useful as a freely rotating shaft.
Does not fit any 8 mm bearing or holder - no use as a shaft whatsoever unless you find some way around or use it in a loose manner (no proper bearing again) - totally disapointing.
