I admit it. I jumped at the chance to buy this book because the price was right. Architectural books are always expensive. The book is fantastic. Great images. Good research and well written.I can highly recommend it for everyone who is interested in Architecture. Yemen is one of the few countries were I feel transported back in time. You can see how it must have been 2000 years ago at Mesopotamia. Egypt or the early years of Islam. This is a Past that needs to be protected and preserved. If the country could just manage to find some peace it could be as popular as Morocco which has great Architecture on its own.
