Simple, easy to use way to add more control
I'm using the Chocolate BT WIreless MIDI to add buttons on an HX Stomp. The unit is so small, it is easy to add to your setup either on a pedalboard or as an easily-tucked-away add-on. Programming it was as simple as looking up the MIDI CC numbers for the unit and deciding which buttons should do which functions. Because the STOMP has limited availability of additional footswitches, I went with direct CC commands on some of the switches to prevent running out of options and it has been a really great addition. It does require an additional BT MIDI receiver, which can be found for pretty cheap as well. The fact that it is rechargeable and has a TRS for an expression pedal means I can have an easy-to-place footswitch and expression pedal that aren't always locked into one place on my pedalboard. Can't speak to rugged build or longevity yet, but I know a few other players who have these and have been using them for years.Nice tool, opens up a lot of options!!!

iPad Pro security message
My iPad Pro gave me a security message after connecting the Bluetooth. It said something to the effect of “device will damage your WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities.” Then, my iPad Pro kept sending information to who knows where (the spinning circle wouldn’t stop and my location indicator turned on. I wish I was making this up, I had to force an update to stop the processes.
