I've always played Ska and Reggae and loved both genres, even whilst learning about the much older music than I was used to hearing from labels such as Island Records. Shockingly; Calypso seemed to have slipped through the cracks during my DJ days. I decided to look some old stuff up and bought a few albums. This truly fits the bill for anyone looking for an overall sound test of what Calypso should sound like.Keep an eye on the artist listing here, and some of the names just might surprise you, if you're a roots reggae fan. Calypso is stunning to listen to. The rhythms; harmonies and overall love of the music shines out when you hear these people playing and singing it. I'm well chuffed with this album set.

Do not like it.Most of the tracks are,not what I call calypso music are by the same person,i do not like the wording of some of the tracks,i think some of the words are a bit political on several of the tracks.Not my cup of "T"
