Enjoyable Read
This story, the first book in the series, combined the well worn brother's best friend and virgin tropes, but still felt refreshing. It seemed like quite a short read but the characters were well developed and it seems there will be close links and crossovers with the second story, so not everything needed to be explained in this book. Evie and Ian were warm characters and there wasn't too much angst.

A fun read
Evie is a 24 year old artist who is living with her friends in New York and she currently has a job as an art therapist while going to college. Her brother is on the staff and is more than a tad overbearing after picking up after their mother ran off and their father all but neglected them.Ian is the captain of the ice hockey team that both Evie and her brother Derrick are working for and has also been Derricks best friend since childhood. He has also always been there for Evie, but it is only when Evie starts standing up for herself and he finally sees her in her new clothes and she propositions him to help her with the problem of her v-card.Both Ian and Evie discover something though that their friendship hold something even dearer to them, a love that started long before they even realised and a belonging with each other and a rightness that was not there with anyone else.I really enjoyed this story and we get to meet Evie's friends and housemates that hopefully all get their own HEA. I am glad that we will see Evie's best friend Harlow and Evie's brother Derrick get the next story though. Derrick may finally find a strong woman that can stand up to him and his more controlling ways.

Entertaining Read.
Although a quicker story than I would have liked, this was an enteratining read that ensured I devoured it in a single sitting. I was hooked on the characters and the story, entertained throughout, and could not put it down until I saw how everything came together. I cannot wait to see what the next book brings.

Fun!!
Evie is a quirky artist who wants to spread her wings and lose her v-card, while Ian is the captain of a profession hockey team, and he is her overprotective brother Derrickās best friend as well as teammate. When Evie and her friends need help with picking the right guys for themselves, Ian volunteers to help them. When Evie lands a job for the troubled team as art therapist, she and Ian need to keep secrets from her brother. This is a well written story which is sweet, fun, entertaining, and with secrets, friendships, family, humor, witty and flirty banter, emotions, and love, which leads to an addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I was honoured to receive an advanced copy of this book and this is my honest review.Evie is an art therapist who is still holding on to her V - card. Ian is an ice hockey player & Evie's brother's best friend. Evie's father wasn't the best when she was growing up so Ian always looked out for her. It isn't until Evie has a bad encounter with an Ex which ends up going viral as a result Evie manages to persuade Ian to take her V - card.Evie's brother is very protective so personally I was disappointed that as a reader we never got to find out how he found out and him meeting up with Ian unless we get told this in the next book as I would be guessing Harlow accidentally says something.I think Derrick and Harlow would be a good story as that would be a fiery also I think Jess trying to find her old friend Sam could be quite funny
