Daler-Rowney FW Acrylic Ink, Glass Bottle with Dropper, 1oz - 29.5 ml, Gold Imitation

I use white acrylic ink in our zoom art lessons online, and use with other colour inks, and watercolour paints.Very useful.

Love these inks, apply really well, can be easily diluted to make overall background washes, blend well, quick drying, light fast.

Having always used Winsor and Newton and the now discontinued Planet inks I thought I would give the Daler ones a try.Firstly I was a little put off by the fact the ink was opaque, my other inks are translucent. I was a bit concerned at this as it really looks like watered down gouache. Thankfully the ink does appear to wash well and mixes with gouache and acrylic paints, but it does not create the same glossy finish as the Winsor and Newton shellac based inks, nor is it such a brilliant or vibrant colour either.If you are looking for a perfect medium to go through an airbrush then the Daler inks would be ideal, but if you want luminosity and pure colour I recommend the Winsor and Newton. I will certainly use this and the other bottle of ink I have by Daler, but for my needs I find them less versatile, and fail to provide the transparency and purity of colour I prefer.I would also say that this really isn't a very good Olive green colour, it is too yellow and not enough blue based. In light wash it looks more pale lime in hue than olive, which was very disappointing.Many thanks for reading!

This ink is the best I've tried, lovely flow and intensity of pigment, writes like a dream.

I am making a ghillie suit and found this ink so I got it in hopes it would be a natural colour for the leaves I had and I have to say after dying the leaves from less than 1 feet away they look real and natural

this Shimmering Blue ink is fantastic quality - as always with Daler-Rowney acrylic materials - my only tip to other artists using this colour ink would be to not underestimate how much you need to get good coverage and a consistent colour across your work. Mixes very well with water and with other ink colours, and gives an unusual, metallic / pearlescent finish which really does "shimmer!" (though I'd prefer to use the word "flash" rather than shimmer, as I think that to say it flashes better describes the finished effect!) the finish gives beautiful flashes of colour and a really vibrant tone, even over other colours. applies well to different surfaces: card, tissue, ceramics, paper, plastics - even textiles - though possibly best on thick, good quality paper / card. highly recommended (though, again, I would say order 2 or 3 pots to ensure you have the quantity for good coverage on your painting / artwork.)

I'm using this for line work over watercolor. It was recommend in a book I purchased. It worked well for the decorative work. Dryed fast and I will purchase it again.

This worked really well for trying out comic style painting on some of my miniatures

The media could not be loaded.  Love this fluid ink and the price was great also
