Neat!
A really nice device. It’s quite easy to set but the written instructions were obviously written by a committee… You can lose your mind if you attempt to follow them.

Great features
This little talking watch is wonderful. The chime is clear and the female voice is easy to understand. You are able to set an alarm, and turn off the hourly chime or on. i weat it attached to my shirt, attaching it with a safety pin. I order 2 to heep one as a spare. I will NEVER be without a talking clock, watch, alarm. Great Buy

works well but hard to hear
Convenient, inexpensive, but not loud enough to use out on the street or in the car.

Great for elderly!
My 97 year old friend is delighted with this, one click gets time, 2 and it gives the date. More practical for her than the watch because she can easily put up to her ear when it's on the cord as a pendant.

Not user friendly for elderly or visually impaired.
I purchased this for a friend who is slightly visually and cognitively impaired from a minor stroke; she can never keep track of the date and has difficulty reading a clock and needed something by her bed that she could touch that would announce the date and time and have an alarm function if needed. This is way too difficult for her to manage. In order to receive the atomic clock signal, you must position the "watch" face down on a flat surface near a window to receive the signal at 3:00 a.m., at least 6 feet away from household electrical and not let the metal clasp touch the case back as those things could interfere with the signal. And if the signal is interfered with and the clock did not update, there are several steps you can take, such as trying every window in the house to see the reception is better; make sure the watch is not near a computer monitor or TV or maybe the area is too built up to receive the signal, etc., etc. and then if you need to manually update it, there are several steps to take to accomplish that and to set the alarm, there 5 steps, starting with one long press, followed by one by one, ... it's just too complicated. I did include a replacement battery, which is very nice and above and beyond competitors.

She bought it through the Feel Good magazine, no warranty
My mother had purchased a talking wrist watch that synced to the atomic clock. In 2 weeks one of the set knobs fell out of the watch! She bought it through the Feel Good magazine, no warranty, no returns. Found the ATOMIC Talking watch on Amazon and it had a 1 year warranty. Purchased it for her and she loves it. The display is easy to read, the voice that speaks the time is easy to understand and the controls are easy to understand. Also, the device synced itself overnight to the Atomic clock and I didn't need to take extra measures to make it happen. A good buy.

the old saw...you get what you pay for.
cheaply built. not a very handsome timepiece. if you are even slightly hard of hearing don't buy this. the talking voice is on the quiet side. battery door somewhat flimsy. i accidentally dropped it (less than 2 feet) and the door flew off. every other atomic clock i have had always says near a window and put the clock upright. this one says "in" a window and place the clock face down to receive the best signal. FACE DOWN?what's up with that? about the only two good things i can say is that the key ring and chain along with the shoelace for wearing around one's neck are OK. don't waste your money here.
