PROsLove the fact that the instructions are clear. There are plenty of videos on YouTube about how to install it.After it's installed, the system works flawlessly. I'm now able to navigate in foreign countries without having to look down at my phone.CONsDepending on your vehicle. The insulation may require you to have a friend period I ended up cutting the wires to my glove box because I didn't have someone to help me prop it up.It doesn't have really good instructions on how to use it. So you have to play around a little bit in order to get them familiar with it.Finally, it doesn't come with the password to upgrade the firmware on the device.Overall, it's worth the money!

I just installed this in a 2016 Audi A3. I'm so impressed by the full integration. The wiring harnesses made it all very simple. There was one set of wires that is only necessary if you are adding an aftermarket camera or microphone. Most won't need that.The part that did trip me up a little is that you do have to plug in the little AMI to Aux cable in the AMI outlet in your car, even though you're not going to plug the aux cable into anything. This triggers the MMI to give you the option of choosing "External Audio Source" in media source settings.The only other struggles involved tight spaces and an excessive amount of screws holding the dashboard in.You have to scroll to a voice button in maps and you have to scroll to "use Siri to place a call" in the phone menu in order to use voice commands, but I think that's a minor inconvenience. Every other steering wheel and console control works as you would expect.A quick tap of your menu button in the console brings up the default screen with maps on one half and your music on the other.It looks great. You'd never know it wasn't original.

One-year review: This was a game changer for me. I love that it works with the factory buttons. Relatively easy to install by yourself. Sometimes it can be finicky and not fire up properly. That's pretty rare and is usually fixed by restarting your car or phone. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Tried many times to get the unit to function and communicate with phones and to get the screen to display like advertised but gave up and returned the unit with no headaches.If there was a customer service team on a better time zone maybe I could have received a more timely response to trouble shoot the issue.

Very easy to install and worked perfectly. You can switch back and forth from the CarPlay unit to the MMI. All knobs and buttons will work with both. Existing backup camera also works. Make sure you have the VW and Audi security tool for removing the unit. This does not come with it

the unit works well in terms of the apple car play, and streaming. only issue i ran across was really back audio interference when at louder volumes not sure how to sort that out…i installed the unit in less than two hrs so i was pretty satisfied with how easy it was…

Pretty easy install, wish the instructions were tailored more to the models, but overall it was pretty simple, took about 2 hours. Make sure to forget and disconnect your device both the car and your phone or it may not connect to the new device.

Works as advetised, easy install, about 2hrs.
