I cannot recommend this book enough
I am not a huge fan of the genre of "self-help". In the past I have found that I read three pages and know the rest of this book. Not so in this short, concise, enthralling, and accessible book. I can open to any chapter and I am engaged in the narrative between people. The advice is simple, practical, yet hits me in a way I had not had access too. The advice comes from all types of people and not just a doctor or psychologist. I cannot recommend this book enough. I purchased it years ago, and come back to it over and over.

Good Busy was a life-changing book for me!
I love this book! I got it as a gift when I retired last year and it turned out to be life-changing for me. Seriously - I was in need of finding various ways of restructuring my life to make it fulfilling and productive, and reading O'Grady's simple but profound chapters really helped me to do that. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to enjoy an easy but poignant read about time…..it's constraints, it's properties and how to better manage it.

Essential reading!
This is a wonderful wonderful book about the different ways different people have learned/chosen to manage their time, their priorities and goals, their lives.O'Grady has clearly put a great deal of work and thoughtfulness into her interviews and reflections on the various time management styles--she is never arrogant, judgmental or opinionated in her consideration of these different strategies, and that is what makes this book so unusual and refreshing. This book SHOULD BE required reading for all professional and graduate school curricula, and especially for people in law school and business school, who frequently feel challenged and stressed in managing their time and work schedules.

the book for these times
We all want it - a way to make our lives more efficient and time more expansive. It can be an elusive quest. "Good Busy" succeeds where so many other books have failed because it combines inspiration and practicality. It's written about people like you and me. Rather then ending up with a laundry list of things to change about ourselves or our time management system, Good Busy gives its reader a much more precious gift: the courage and capacity to start where one is and move forward, boldly.

More! More!
This book is an absolute treasure. I am someone who spends a lot of time thinking about efficiency and productivity in my various roles as a business owner, family man, spiritual being and hack amateur athlete. A lot of different books on time management have helped me to some degree, but they always leave me with rules to memorize or charts to fill out... Julia Scatliff O'Grady's book on the other hand reached me at the level of my thinking. The ultimate compliment: More! More!

Pithy advice
Julia Scatliff O'Grady has managed to distill a great deal of wisdom about how to cope with the pressures of daily life through her portraits of ten individuals who have taken different paths to manage and stay sane in the midst of busyness. Rather than turning away from the pressures and inevitable chaos of daily living, O'Grady and her subjects manage to weave mindful practice into their busy lives. There are many practical tips here.
