Koch 4011613 Head Hitch Pin, Red Handle, 1 by 4-3/4-Inch

We have had Sears Lawn tractors for our Lawn bot New and Used.The biggest pet peeve I have had was finding a tow pin for it . Always not the right size in width or length. Sold out if it was with no ability to tell us when it would be reliably back. Worse when Sears closed up its stores.Well I finally found a study tow pin set. It fits well and seems sturdy and best yet red handle means it won't just disappear easily when not in use.I just got this in so I will update this review at a later time after some use. So far I am impressed.

I bought this from amazon.com as it looked better than any hitch pin available in the UK which are all bent metal pins.I am not disappointed with the apparent quality it appears well made and easy to use (not used it on the trailer yet). It is much easier to handle than the bent metal pin variety. What amazed me more was that even including shipping from the US it was cheaper than most UK versions and arrived only two days after some UK sourced trailer parts.Happy with my purchase definitely, I cant rate it against the others on Amazon.com as you guys have much better choice and products than here in the UK

Love these style hitch pins. I have bought 3 over the past year. One for my lil John Deere garden tractor to replace the bent OEM trailer hitch pin that was looking like it was going to fail. The other two I cut down a bit and re-drilled a new hair pin hole and used to hold my tow bar to my Willys Jeep. I fab'd up the tow bar ends to work with some new shackle mounts I installed (and removed the tow bar mounts). So now I have dual purpose D-Ring and tow bar mounts. These hitch pins are beefy and I love the rubber coated pull handle. Makes removing and installing them easy and safer. Great quality overall. Will buy more in the future for my other needs.

If you've ever had to hitch/unhitch a tow vehicle with a Demco hitch pin, you've experienced the pain in the butt it is to pull the pin out unless the pressure on the pin is absolute zero. With the Koch pin, you've got a nice big grab handle to pull...so I expect problem solved. It's not an exact replacement, as it's a bit longer (hopefully this won't be a problem) than OEM Demco hitch pin, and a tiny bit looser (which makes install easier, but not 100% sure about durability). So fingers crossed this solves my tow hitch pain.P.S. I use the linchpin from the OEM Demco.

1/2” by 3 5/8 “ hitch pin was perfect fit for JDeere L111 hitch. Used it already to pull small yard trailer and 250 lb drum aerator. No issues and I can now keep it permanently dropped into my hitch so I wont lose it.

Good price for item and saved time going to tractor supply when we didn't need to go out for anything else. Try to make trips as few as possible since gas prices are so high and we're on fixed income. They worked great - don't know how long they will last as have not tried them yet. Price is within what tractor supply wanted (checked couple days ago when we had to go out for prescription pick up and needed large size bolts).

Slides perfectly into the hitch on my zero turn tractor. In addition to cutting grass I use the mower to pull a cart, attach an aerator to do my lawn, hook up a roller to level sod etc. The handle makes installing and removing a snap. The red head is attractive and makes it easy to find when not in use. The price is right. It is no surprise that this is a best seller. Top notch hitch pin.

I bought this hitch pin to use with my newly purchased Gorilla Cart. The pin is quite stout and well made. Unfortunately, it's too large in diameter to pass through the holes in the the tongue on my cart, so I'm current using it for a paper weight. Lesson learned - Make sure you carefully check the intended implement to tow to make sure this pin will fit through the holes in the tongue!
