Works as stated.
I have a bad drain in my F150. Battery would go dead in a day. I asked a friend for advice and later he sent me link to a battery isolator, but not this one. I did online looking and found this one, liked it's added features and even thought it was more money, I'm very happy with it. Easy to install, two remotes, auto disconnect, and digital readout. The manual override is very handy when working on electrical and/or you forgot your remote. I use it as a security feature whenever I'm not driving. And safety features work as stated too. My truck sat for about three weeks and restarted just fine when needed.

Works well, handles rated current, but no way to disable or adjust auto-shut-off voltage
This unit works great, it handled >180amps for over 30min without heating up significantly, and the remotes have worked consistently at >20ft away with no problems. It has a few few quirks that made me want to give it 4 stars, but in the end I cant fault them because the description is accurate and there is no false advertising. The one big issue is that there is *no way to disable or adjust the set point of the the auto shutoff when it hits 12.8v*. It would be so much more versatile if you could change the set point to account for other battery chemistries / applications, or disable it entirely if you don't need that feature. The only other small quirk is that the on/off and set buttons are not inset on the surface. If you mount this in a tight space make sure that you do something to prevent rattling/pressure on top of the unit from pressing the buttons by accident. I installed it on top of the OEM battery in my RAM ProMaster 2500 van, and had a few minutes of head scratching thinking it was faulty before I realized the floorboard above it was pressing down enough to depress the on/off button sometimes when I stepped on it. I fixed it by super-gluing a large washer around each button so they could not be pressed by accident from vertical pressure.

Very easy to install.
Just install the unit and it is ready to go, no set up or pairing remotes needed. So far so good.

Know how much space you have
The unit itself works well, it is just not versatile, know how much space you have surrounding it, it can only go in a certain position, I have an f250 dual battery, the one side fits in with no issues, the other side does not have the room for it to fit and the cabling on the truck won’t allow an install without modification to either the unit(which would void warranty) or cabling to the truck, which is not so cut/dry.Other models allow for one of these to control both batteries, this does not.
