Excellent sharpener for soft colouring pencils. Very gentle on the pencils.
Excellent sharpener for my soft prismacolor pencils. Very gentle on the pencil and you can select the point length. Haven't had a single breakage while sharpening using this on settings 1 & 2. It is bigger than a standard pencil sharpener, and made of quite thin plastic - so I'm not sure how durable it will be long term, and it's expensive for a pencil sharpener (I guess this is because it's imported from Japan). The shavings catching part is quite small and needs frequent emptying, and the little cover for this seems extremely flimsy. Having said that, it's really easy to use and does a very good sharpening job. If you are having trouble with core breakage when sharpening coloured pencils, this is the one to use to avoid this.

Sharpens perfectly
I have recently purchased castle arts gold coloured pencils but found that my derwent hand crank sharpener was virtually eating them when I tried to get a sharp point. I have other normal sharpeners but wanted one that would also catch all the sharpenings. This sharpener feels very quiet and gentle as you use it but gets a nice sharp point and doesnt reduce the pencil in the same way as my derwent. It is also much easier to carry about or use on my sofa.

Great pencil sharpener
I needed a pencil sharpener to travel with. This popped up whilst watching a pencil coloring video tutorial. This pencil sharpener was great at sharpening my Polychromo coloring pencils on a 4.5 setting without removing too much wood. However, my Caran d'Ache pencils I struggled with due to the thickness of the pencils and my Brutfuner pencils were a 'no go' due to the square thickness of the barrel. I slightly concerned with the strength of the casing. I found the sharpener to be a little 'flimsy' especially when removing the panel to extract the shavings. I really like that you can change the dial settings and due to the translucent case it is easy to view when it needs to be emptied. Overall, happy.

Great gadget
This little pencil sharpener is a really great tool. Pleasant to use, sharpens smoothly and is easy to empty and allows you to choose the amount of point you want for your pencil (1 - 5). Good value for money. Would recommend.

The best pencil sharpener
I use this for a different range of pencils it's good because you can change the point on the pencil to what you need.

Stops working after a while
Good to start but quickly stopped altering size of point.

Handy sharpener
Not the most robust looking sharpener I've had but it's very handy, easy to empty and close off from spilling and easy to use to create different point sizes, depending on how you use your pencil. I haven't yet come across any sharpener that doesn't shave a lot of the pencil to get a long point but often a short point does a good enough job. If you need a nice point without spending a fortune I'd be happy to recommend this sharpener. I have found that I get a much longer point using my Faber Castell Grip sharpener but I'm happy having both of these in my pencil case.
