Great for keeping leeches out during treks through tropical jungles.
Purchased size 46 for 5' 10" 165 pounds - very skinny body. Not a daily casual wear item. Material is not as compliant as cotton and is not comfortable against your skin but under the intended outdoor use scenarios, other discomforts are likely to override this. Good for hot deserts or hot jungles and less so for cold climes where the metal vent zips are cold against the skin without layering.Fits relatively snug. Little room in the crotch and has to ride low on the hips to avoid crushing, especially when squatting. Not much room in the pockets for anything else than a typical smartphone on one side and a wallet on the other. So not all pockets can be used at the same time. Not cargo pants! No back pockets, which would be nice for typical slips of paper, doggy poop bags etc.Sturdy material and stitching appears to be good.Has hangers on the two front belt loops, but I tend to use belt loops instead, as they are less fidgety to attach things to (single handed) than to tread through the small hanger loop (two handed). The knife pocket is just over six inches deep, so a typical folding knife has to be fished out each time. A larger bowie knife would be too wide to fit. Might work with a slender hunting or diving knife in a sheath. A better solution is to hang it on the belt. In may case, it tends to be a home for a screwdriver, hammer or flash light.Haven't had a good reason to use the cuff adjustments, but it looks like you can cinch the cuff down really tightly if needed. Would have been great for keeping leeches out during treks through tropical jungles.

Very tough, well made field pants
Happily these are trim cut for my 5’11”, 165 lb narrow waist frame in size 46 (30-31”) regular. Many pants are cut larger than needed. The inseam is just long enough for me ending at the top of my shoe. I could wear the long version and it would probably work better with the cuff adjustment, but these are OK as I’m not cinching down the cuff. I think that is a little bit of a gimmick in my opinion, but somebody may like it. I just think it adds more expense to manufacturing and they could easily leave it out. The pants are extremely well made and tailored. Pockets are deep, but be aware that the cargo pockets won’t work well for very bulky items because the legs are cut trim. I don’t personally think that’s an issue for me as the nice fit is more important. The zipper vents are nice if not really needed in cool weather. Knife pocket is handy. Rain resistance is very good, the water beads up. Very wind resistant and comfortable. No back pockets is a plus for comfort and fit. Knee patch layers could be extended down another inch, but that’s nitpicking. Belt loops are great and zipper fly / waist button look bombproof. These are some of the nicest pants I’ve owned. I expect they might be too warm in higher temps, but that’s not when I would expect to wear them anyway. If you are considering them give a try, if you are over 6’ tall get the long version.

Durable / perfect
I am a 5'11 and weight about 180lbs and the size 48 regular fits perfectly. I bought these pants because my old Columbia light hiking pair ripped in the sacral/bottom after extensive hiking. I wore these pants during a recent ten day trip to Alaska and they were perfect. The weather was miserable with rain and even some snow, but I was warm the entire time. I found that a simple layer of longjohns underneath the pants works well in the colder temps. When the weather was a little nicer being able to open the sides of the pants and "vent," was truly a game changer. I would not buy these pants without the side vent because they would be too warm during summer trips. Be careful and make sure to read the instructions on the Fjallraven website before washing. I used a little bit of cold water and was able to wash the mud of my pants without any difficulty. I plan on putting the wax on them for next years travels.

They thought of everything
Just got these pants and not only do they fit perfect, I can tell the quality is very good. There is stretchy material in the groin and down the inner legs for expansion and ease of moving. The axe pocket fits my 6” SRK perfectly. Looking forward to testing them out this weekend.

Sound product - Too tight in the leg for a lifter
The pant itself is very nice and feature-full. I love the stretch crotch and the pocket abundance. The material feels solid and rugged. There is one big problem for me though. The butt/thigh on these is not large enough for these to fit comfortably and allow for free range of movement. I know that this is more of a "me" problem because I lift weights often and have legs that are larger than is typical, but there are other people like me, and I want them to know that they may have to look elsewhere. One other thing - Be aware that these appear to not be vanity sized. Whatever Levis you are wearing on the daily will not be the same size as these. Measure your waist and order accordingly.

Great pants
These are my new go to pants on the weekends. I think they are great. Super comfortable and I really like the fabric. They seem to be very durable. We shall see how they hold up in the mountains. I have the 46 reg. And they fit me well.

Nice pants, check out the “Find Your Size” Q&A on the Fjällräven web site.
Fjällräven Has a really good Q&A on their web site to help figure out which size to order. I’m glad I used it, otherwise I probably would have ordered the next smaller size. I’m 5’11” and 160 lb and wear 31x32 or 32x32 pants depending on brand. I ordered these in 48 and they fit very well. I’ve only worn them once so can’t speak to longevity, but they’re clearly a very high quality, nicely thought out hiking pant. Pricey, but hopefully worth it in the long run.

Meine Lieblingsghose

Comfy
178cm 73kg 48 size perfect fit. Reg length. Came in laurel green - deep forest. Good colour dark enough to blend with vegetation. Not baggy like some of Helikon trousers (I like them) but not so silly skinny like Revolution Race. I miss back pockets for small items like piece of cord, earplugs etc.

pantalon ventilé le must have
