Advent Wreath Candle Refill Set

The quality on these candles is hit or miss. Of our four candles, two of them burned extremely fast and dripped terribly. The first candle we lit was mostly ok, but the second one had a wick that was on the very edge of the candle, not down the center (see my photo). This caused such bad dripping that we had to blow it out right after lighting it. We used a Dixie cup (I know, classy!) to try to catch some of the wax, and it still made a mess everywhere and burned faster than the candles that were lit for longer. They also fit very loose in our candle holder, so we had to be careful to keep them from tipping over. We've never had this problem before, so I'm confident it is the candles. I'm definitely not going to be buying these again. These seemed convenient, but turned out to cause nothing but trouble.

This is a good product but I give it 4 stars only because it is just good. After all, how can you love candles?They arrived in good condition, they fit the holder I have had for years and since this is only a temporary thing (Advent , I mean)you don't have to have them in sight for long. They do burn pretty quickly, but generally , Advent candles are lit only for brief times .....I will buy them again next Advent season.

These are good enough. As others have noted, they burn unevenly. Given that each year ONE candle gets lots of use and ONE candle gets very little use, this is doubly troubling.I wish they came packaged with 6 purple and one pink candle. That would work for the whole of advent.

I ordered these in the summer because I always seem to forget to order them in time for Advent. They are exactly what I expected them to be. Three purple candles and one pink candle.

the candles just arrived, well on time, but they could have been packaged better instead of just the box in an envelope without warning of fragile freight, I believe, I can even see a shoe print on the envelope and 2 of the 4 candles were broken in half and are only held in place by the wick, you can tell where the break is (white line around a purple candle does show) and the top is now leaning. I guess I have to venture out to the hobby lobby after all, don't want to risk the wax dripping on the table from the leaning top

These Advent candles look nice at first. They are 12", straight, and the colors are good. But they drip. A lot. I have purple wax on my Advent wreath and the table it is sitting on. I would not buy them again because of this. I guess I should have looked for the word "dripless" in the description. Buyer beware.

These Advent candles are very vibrantly colored and look great. However, they are basically white candles with a hard colored "shell" on top, which flakes off when put into the candle holders/Advent wreath. Mine only flaked off around the bottoms which is no big deal, but it is a little messy and the white shows at the very base of the candle.

One candle had a hairline crack upon arrival, but fortunately this did not affect performance.The candles’ burn rates seemed a bit inconsistent, and my wife is skeptical about the wick or wax quality because they gave off an unpleasant odor when blown out.Still, these are minor quibbles. We were satisfied.
